What shuld I expect for getting a driving with a suspended lisence in Michigan?

It is my first and the cop just gave me a ticket and let me go. He also told me I could just take care of it by mail.

If your licence is suspended Then you can not legaly drive so the cop could not have told you to take care of it by mail. You have to go befor a judge for a plea then the judge will fine you. either the officer did not tell you or he does not know his own duties.
