Law Enforcement & Police - November 2006

I am trying to make a decision between two job offers, corrections officer and 911 dispatcher. I would love to hear from any female corrections officers as to how they like their jobs, as well as 911 dispatchers. The pay is a bit better for the 911 job, hours suck though, I'd get graveyard forever! With the corrections here we work 7/12's and then have 7 days off, and rotate 7 days with 7 graves. Any input would be great, if there are any female corrections officers out there reading this. Thanks!!!

Whenever I catch the local news, they talk about how Police Officers shot the suspect and killed them. How come Police Officers can't shoot them (supects) in their legs or other places instead of shooting them to death? If there dead, there not able to tell their side of the story. Can anybody explain please?

this guy was giving out free porn passwords on a forum and i don't think he payed for them. it looks like he got them from a trader site. if i log in to pay sites using those passwords: 1) is it illegal? 2) can i be tracked and prosecuted?

My car was recently towed. When I called about my vehicle, I couldn't get a straight answer from them. Now I'm not sure if my vehicle was suppose to be towed or not.

What I want to know is if my vehicle was towed, what are my rights for information? I want to know when exactly my vehicle was towed, and how long I've been parked before I was towed.

I'm really curious to those who really know, seems to me if this is a free country they shouldn't ask you that and it is none of their business. They should either give you a ticket or not but asking where you are going is out of line. Are you required to answer this question? Even if you have nothing to hide?

I have a brother who is 18 yrs old,as well as his gf. They're still in high school, senior year, staying with my older brother. If her mom calls the cops on her, can they literally make her go back home becasue shes stillin high school or does it not matter becasue she is 18 yrs old?
