i need to show how easy it is and be able to summarize the process, but naturally it's a little hard to find simple instructions on how to steal cable, especially on the internet. so if you have any techniques, or even helpful links it will all be appreciated! :)

My hubby works for a cable company. He is always running into people stealing cable. Actually he makes most of his money turning them in and re-selling to them.
It's easy to spot and I don't recommend anyone doing it.

You may say that it was on when you moved in but a good persistant sales guy will keep checking to see if you have reconnected and keep cutting the lines back until you either pay or get satillite. There are a few honest people left.

Best way I found is just pay your local dishonest cable man. Word gets out who he is just ask around. I paid $75 two years ago. Just say it was hooked up when you moved in and no you don't want it if you get caught. You never ordered it and your not going to pay for it.
