When in the UK, they bust up the terrorist ring and catch these guys, yet we were SO asleep at the wheel before 9/11...

makes me feel so warm and fuzzy that NOW we have "HOMELAND(lack of) SECURITY"

Let's create MORE govt entities so we can be, more secure?

Air taser gun cartidges are one shot fire and its done. I've been considering buying a taser. The only way to practice with it though would end up costing me like $500. (Cartidges are usually $25-$40) depending on brand/type. Or does anyone know of a way to "reload" taser cartidges.

Regardless of whether they are "good" cops or "bad"cops do you get the suspicion that they feel they are above the law. I just saw my neighbor, who is a cop and who I have always thought of a good upstanding guy, drive home with his four year old on his lap behind the wheel. You know that if he saw average Joe citizen doing that, they would have a ticket and probably a visit from child protective services. What is your opinion, do cops abuse their power? And is there anything we can or should do to stop it?

I'm sure everyone knows about the foiled terroists plot. Do you think the government should be required to reimburse the passengers that had to throw away a good amount of personal stuff?

Let me explain ! I think I was probably about 10 years old when I saw my first tv news appearance of two jets that were hijacked and blow up in some desert or other. I am now in my mid 40's.

It is a metal tube with two wings attached full of highly flammable fuel.

The terrorists have used perfect logic to find the most efficient way of hurting us - basically by using our own infrastructure against us ?

There is another salient fact that this current breed of terrorists have learned to use against us - they know that human life actually HAS a pre-determined value, because governments and insurance companies and such like use risk analysis type models to determine the ratio between disaster and time and giving it a value. As one unfortunate passenger held up at one UK airport during the latest crisis pointed out ''if they feel they need to do these checks then why haven't they always done them". Answer - Money. Making a liquid bomb from sum nitrate derivative is not new technology !

Lets add this up, meth causes the human brain to deteriorate and hallucinations, cops are supposed to be taking this crap off the street not putting it their viens, how safe do you feel if your cops are having hallucinations and paranoia attacks and carrying a gun, this is how people get hurt.

The last few operations by the Police in the UK have led to innocent people being arrested for terrorism or innocent people being shot. Is the arrest of the 21 people today more of the same - how many of the 21 will be released without charge.

are not correctly focused? I just saw on TV this nice typical english old lady who had to take her money in a plastic bag and wasn't allowed to take her medication with her or something. So far, all the terrorists look exactlt like Arab terrorists. They don't bother to disguise - or they just can't, really. So, instead of being polite and discreet to the Arab travellers and put nice old ladies to the examination, or make young mothers taste their babies's milk, don't you think security should be focused on specific persons more rather than banning everyone from taking their hand luggage? What about luggage in the luggage compartment?
