yes to a point, the law-enforcement community knows that certain groups are much more likely to commit terrorist attacks.(the Muslims) it is a sad fact of life, but they are the ones trying to blow us up. people need to stop worrying about the race thing already. The war on terrorism is not a military or law-enforcement war. It is physiological, they believe people in the U.S. and Europe are weak and liberal. They take advantage of this. They know they cannot win militarily, they are committed to breaking down the will of the people and they are committed to a very long war with us, as long as it takes. Until we change are ways and stop being a bleeding heart liberal nation and actually be tough towards terrorist we will not win. After all that's what the terrorist expect from us.

Someone just asked this same question a few minutes ago.

Racial profiling doesn't work.

Focusing on just one obvious racial group ignores all the other fanatics. Not to mention that many terrorist organizations recruit people from their target countries, who blend right in along with everyone else. So, right there, your proposed system would have failed to catch most of the problems.

Airport security is primarily for the peace of mind of the travelers. A competent terrorist can always find a way to get something on board that can do the trick.

Racial profiling won't stop the problem. Any more than having people take off their shoes before going through the scanners did. Security measures are designed to give travelers peace of mind, and they focus mainly on whatever the latest problem was because that's what people are worried about now.

The only thing that has any possible chance of even slowing down airline terrorist activity is to make it so difficult for the terrorists to tell what gets scrutinized that they can't take obvious steps to avoid it. The more predictable your security measures are, the easier it is to get past them.

Racial profiling won't solve the problem. It will just make it worse. Because if you're only focusing on the people who are obviously members of one particular racial group, I guarantee the next fatal terrorist cell won't be.

Yes. Israel practices racial profiling and has one of the strictest airport securities in the world and they have never had a commercial plane blown up by terrorists, even though the whole of the Islamic middle east hates them. We need to get with the program on who are our enemies. I don't care if it's not fair to search every person who looks Muslim, we should be able to restrict their rights before they can take our rights or life away. We need to do what is best for the majority of the people, we need more utilitarianism and less political correctness unless you want another 9/11.

If I were an airport security person, I'd racially profile. I mean, if you saw a bunch of white skinheads with "Hail to the White Superior Race", would you let them on a plane????

nah, thats ignorant. If you stopp all the brown people it will take forever to get through security. It takes long enough already. I don't know where you live, but in DC there are far too many brown people for racial profiling to even be practical. There would have to be some othr reason to search.

Racial profiling won't freshen up the priority. this is going to truly make it worse. because of the reality in case you're in uncomplicated words focusing on the people who're of direction contributors of one particular racial team, I assure the subsequent deadly terrorist cellular is in basic terms now no longer.

Profiling, yes. Based *strictly* on race, no. Given that the greatest potential thread comes from young men of middle eastern descent I think it prudent to include that as a *part* of the profile.

Its time to get back to common sense and dump political correctness. Women use intuition with no problem. It should apply in all situations. The A.C.L.U. would have a problem with this answer but then just two days ago they filed an appeal to ban any memorial to all Katrina victims.

- behaviour
- eyes
- body language
- speach
- look
- dress
- age
- physical fitness
- signs of mental disorder
- race
