My mentally unstable son was taken from home at 19, by a older woman who was a professional hooker at the time and who denied us the chace to treat him, even after he had been hospitalized. She took him away to miami even though she was warned about his mental situation and we beged her to leave him alone.. Now after 3 years of not seing my son I find out that he is awaiting trial for Battery with 4 felony charges and a misdemeanor. How long can he stay if found guilty and what could i do?

Dear Ivsshanom,
For everyone's sake, consult a lawyer. If you cannot afford one, go to the legal aid agency in your area....and by the way,,,who is pregnant?....................good luck

If he's mentally unstable, and has been through dr.'s care, could he possibly be sent to a mental institution instead of to jail? That's the question I'd ask a lawyer. At least in the mental hospital you know he'll be getting help and therapy.

My son has Autism, and with the type he has comes violent rages. I have to wonder about my son's future might be if I can't get him to control himself. It's scary.
