OK City was one guy, one time. The only terrorists we have had in the past several years have been Muslims and continue to be Muslims.
Now I know why America (and other western countries) are going down the tubes, in essence, will be destroyed. (Forget global warming--this threat is already here).
There is alot of ignorance as to the thrust and beliefs of followers of Islam. If you think you can talk peace, you do not understand this powerful and aggressive religion.
Sympathizers of a culture that has threatened to massacre all non-Muslims are the same type of people who would've accepted Hilter and kept repeating, "He's not really a bad man..." as he conquered more and more.
Why not ask those who have left Islam and are willing to speak on the truth of what is required in that religion?

Bos, I get that you are very very concerned. We all know there are some law abiding Muslims yet I can see the argument for some strenuous moves to offer us protection ie profiling some for more security. It's clear that for the terrorists, its no holds barred.

No, because what makes American and British civilizations great and good is that they are ruled by laws which are designed with respect for the the importance of individual rights.

This does not at all mean that we should be lax about security, or that we should not take the measurese necessary to ensure of security. It does mean, however, that solutions must be carefully constructed with respect for existing legal and political structure.

Halting or severely limiting immigration of Muslims, racial and religious profiling, modern security techniques, and these sorts of things, are vital. Similar for deporting the religious leaders who incite violence.

Note, however, that these sorts of measures do not threated the fundamental fabric of American or British civilization in the way mass shipping back of all Muslims would.

This is an important point. There is an ideology behind this systematic behavior, and it is vital that we take that into account when constructing policy for defening ourselves from terrorists. Thus, limits on immigration, and religious profiling, and honest frank discussion of the ideology and what it does to adherents, are all very important.

Again, though, this is different from mass deportations. Disproportionate questioning by police and searching in airports is a very different thing than outright deporting individuals with no personal history of criminal behavior.

Unfortunately, racial profiling, especially at airports would be a lot more intelligent, as how many Anglo or Hispanic terrorists are there??? You target the troublesum group, treat them with some dignity, but monitor them closely...if they don't like it, they can be proactive & turn in those they feel are troublemakers (after all, we have a 1-800 # for just about everything in the USA) Britan can do likewise.

But I guess if it is only "Britian" as you so eloquently put it than I guess all the Muslims can stay because "Britian" hasn't had the same problem as GREAT BRITAIN.
