We hear all the studies about how classically attractive people seem to be automatically given credit with positive traits compared to their less attractive counterparts. We also here the disturbing reports about institutional racism in police forces for example as revealed by the 'Secret Policeman' in GMP. Do you think the police do give therefore preferential treatment? I knew a girl who was very attractive but was acting out. When bar staff complained the police always seem to let her off or check if she was ok. It took quite a few call outs for the police to decide to take any complaints seriously and for her to be arrested. Predictably she also got off any charges in court and was served only with a bind over. Police are meant to be impartial but I too have found that women get treated a lot differently to males for a crime e.g. theft or being drunk ..this is my own observations and wanted to know others views on this and what if anything can help improve the situation

I was pulled over by a police car. There were 2 officers. Only one of them talked to me. The officer never explained what I did wrong. Then when I got the ticket, I noticed that there were 2 tickets. One was written by the officer that talked to me, but the other one was written by the other officer. Is this even legal?

My friends brother is quite bright and wants a good job but he has had his mobile stolen twice and has a knife for his own protection and when he is older he wants a gun if things dont get improved which I personally think should happen. I can vote but should I if nothings going to happen?

The answer should be such that it should be reasonable, sensible and easily achievable. Terrorists indulge in acts of terror because they feel that they can get away with it ( even if it were a suicide bomber) , only if we can exploit some universal vulnerability in them ( if any ) can one eliminate terrorism . I would like to know whether something like this can be done.

Near Detroit there was a drive by shooting. Two young people died and two more were shot. From what I hear on the radio they were all low life people doing/selling drugs. So who cares they are killed. I believe it is a good thing to get rid of people like that. The Police don't know who the shooter is but whoever they are I hope they get a medal.

I have been driving on the same stretch of Motorway but have noticed six times now that a police car is driving behind me in my rear view mirror. The police cars have been too close when they are following me but they give NO indication they want me to stop (e.g I never see their flashers go on). I thought it was just me being paranoid but I have also tried to change lanes and they do follow me. Why are they doing this? Twice also they have folllowed me off the motorway. In all cases after about 15-20 minutes they usually move over and drive off. It is really intimitading & they are driving too close to me. I have sometimes been doing around 60mph & have found it difficult to break as they are right there behind me tailgating. Please can I have some advise as to what I should do if this happens again. I am female & drive by myself. I have felt like putting my hazard lights on & pulling over, but I know police can be heavy handed.I don't want to start an argument but do feel annoyed.

This is the very first time she has done something like this. I really don't think that she meant to do this. Some of her girlfriends have done this in the past, and they did brag about doing it. So I think it had a lot to do with peer pressure. She only stole a $3.99 key chain. I know still that was wrong. What will happen to her. Will this go on her record to stay.? Will she be a felon? Will she be able to get into college if she is considered to be a felon? What will happen ? please tell me I am worried sick.

Here are the details. I am over 21. If I throw a college party at my house, can cops enter my house without my permission and bust people (under-agers)? Can they do so on a noise compliant? What if the complaint was anoymous? This is for the State of Ohio.

I know its a weird question but please bare with me.

If one day a cow was zapped with intelligence for any unknown reason and was able to speak intelligently and acted human like would it be able to sue the meat industry for genocide against its fellow cows and demand that cow meat eating stop immediately?

Sounds strange, but someone told me that everytime you purchase alcohol, your ID is scanned and connects you to the EXACT bottle you purchased. I know they scan IDs to make sure they're real, but is it true that your name is put onto some kind of database that tells the bottle you bought?
