How can I stop teenage neighbor boys from constantly stealing and harrassing me?

I'm a 37yr old male in Texas. I am a single father of 2 teenage girls. the boys in the neighborhood are very vulgar toward my girls, they have broke into my home once, also vandalized my house several times. I know I can't handle it on my own. reports to the police never solve a thing and actually make things worse. my only option I know is to move

Hide a security camera and catch them on tape. Then take them to court and make the court put them into Juvinile hall.

The nice thing about Texas is that kids have NO rights to age 18!

Hate to tell you this, but you might want to consider moving. Guys that are vulgar to women, have broken into a person's home, and vandalized a home could be pretty dangerous, but as you've seen, it can be hard to get the cops involved before something serious happens, and clearly, waiting for that is no option. Besides, getting the cops involved may only make it worse for you and your family, especially if there's a group of these guys.

Don't take the law into your own hands, though. You'll overdo it and get yourself in real trouble, and then what happens to your daughters?

Have you gone to their parents? Or perhaps you should start videotaping the incidents that are happening. This should be enough proof to get the cops involved. In fact I'm appalled that the cops can't help. But what you could do is continue to document these incidents written and on tape and take the parents and kids to court. Suing their butts will make their parents act.

Have you went to the kids (boys) parent(s)? Or, are they the reason the boys are loke that? Why haven't the cops done anything? I probably know your answer to that one. Councilman/District Rep. is your next option. They can't afford bad pub. if they don't help. And last but not least, if you are on record with police and Rep. you have no choice but to take care of your babies/girls anyway you see fit!!!!! Go to the family court and talk to the judge about a code called CHINS or PINS. This is Children In Need Of Supervision or People in Need of Supervision. You will have to petition the court. CHINS and PINS fall under federal juvenile laws and states have similar statutes. This puts if awarded these kids as wards of the state due to being incorrigible which they have demonstrated.

ok in texas there are laws on being vulgar. call the police when this occurs especially just after it happens. tell the police you want them cited for disorderly conduct. tell him you were offended. this will drag the parents into it and make them involved. next if it continues look into filing a peace bond. not to sure if you can on the minors,but look into this. what happens is that the parent are made to put up money if it is violated then the money if forfeited. look up the defenition of a peace bond

You have to think about behavior in a tribal structure. You need to establish yourself as the Chief. Any question you ask them has to be very short, and very direct.

Tell them that you don't approve of their actions. Ask, "How do you respond to my criticism". "Are you going to change your behavior?"

When the kids are together, they are more dangerous because mob mentality takes over. They become emboldened to do thinks they would never do separately.
