Law Enforcement & Police - June 2006

I know someone who unwittingly bought a bootlegged movie at a flea market. I've seen the vendor myself and thought his wares looked bootlegged. Having seen the DVD this person bought, now I know it for sure. I'm not entirely confident that local law enforcement knows what to do or cares enough to do anything. (It's a rural town.) To whom should I report this?

My family went bankrupt in my last semester of school, so i got no money to continue my studies and had to quit school. Now i still owe university about 5 thousand dollars. and i haven't had the ability to pay it off until now. I'm an international student, and i can't apply for loan or financial aid...Would i be arrested for this? what can i do?

I know this is going to sound fake but there is Hosptital and police records documented.

Well I will tell you the story from door close to door open 3 hours of pure torchure in a storage unit over 50$ and some baseball cards.

Well I didnt have the money or the cards to give them so 3 people straight criminal types locked me into storage unit, First the tall white boy w/bug eyes took out my knee cap w/a extending asp he hit me so hard it bent the asp and it wouldnt close,then after hitting me w a gun barrel in face they made me take off my shoes and socks and pick my teeth or one of my feet to hit w/a hammer I chose my right foot, The dark skinned man broke my foot w/a finish hammer right in the middle of my foot, then white boys girl frind and the dark skinned guy played head knees feet game where she would pick #s and whatever # he was thinking he would stomp and smash my foot into ground hit me w/gun barrel in face , or repeat hitting me w /asp in knee, finally dark skin tried to choke me out across back of a couch in unit and took torch lighters to my hands, the last thing was the 4cell maglight to the back of my head it sprayed blood all over them and the girl got scared and made me and dark skin leave, so he bound me up w tele wire and we got into my car, me passenger thank god the car was out of gas and he was so frustrated he broke my universal ignition and we got stuck at am/pm gas station cause i told him i didnt know the wiring codes, finally I said fuc_k you and started walkin to my friends down street, I called police cause they still had my car,the police found my car at storage units but it was dark an rainy and i was 100 yards away tryin to id one of them And I couldnt but it was him i gave his abbv first name and they said sorry you couldnt id him at first so he the only one here so if you want your car go get it its right there so now I got one guy who burned me w/torches not goin to jail and on the phone to the other guys tellin them I went to the police And the police left me hangin no arrests, no protection, nothin I was the scariest days of my life I couldnt even go home they said if Im at home my family will suffor to I got to many lil siblings for that, That was the everett police department 1 year ago or so i wish i could sue or something all the people involved are doin 25yrs for other crimes but its besides the point i spent 4 monthes hidin w/ no police help. I was supposed to be killed so i couldnt be a wittness but they got caught for other stuff lucky me NOT WoW Ive never told anyone other then police this do i have any rights at all????????????

please can someone explain briefly how the american criminal system works? What does 3 strikes and your out mean? And what is the difference between criminal law and federal law? Does it depend on the type of crime?

Anti-social behaviour, violent drunks in our city centers,drug dealers, child rapists (cut their balls off) and burglars and muggers prowling our streets.
The magistrates have been told not to jail people for fear of overcrowded jails(boo hoo), whats going on.
The hard working tax payer who's worked hard and saved up all his life to have a nice home and some low life scrote comes along robs you and gets 40 hours community service but don't harm him or he'll sue you and he needs some help for his stress after robbing you....
Are we all too politicaly correct now or can we please have some law and order and look after the victimes and not the criminals.

I have considered SWAT, Police, Secret Service, Spec Ops, and others. Let me know which one I should join. Not to be cocky but I qualifiy for all of them. I just can't decide. I like military, but, SWAT sounds good because you get to go home almost every night. You see some of the problems?? Let me know what you think. Feel free to suggest jobs that I have not listed up here.

I stole from a store called Clares and I was with a friend we stole some jewlery the value was around 50 and they pressed charges but the last time I stole was from the same mall but they didn't press charges

about a month ago i got into a car accident in rochester, mn. i stopped at a stop sign and i was getting ready to cross a double highway..there were three cars turning right and they were blocking my view on the left so i pulled out a little further, stopped, looked both ways and didnt see anything. i pulled out to go and a car hit the side of me about 5 ft into the road. we parked at a gas station to exchange information and a cop came about 5 minutes later..he issued me a ticket for failing to yeild to oncoming traffic at a stop sign...but he wasnt even there to see it PLUS i stoppped twice. i go to court to fight it tomorrow and i need some good points to bring up so i dont have to pay for somehting i didnt do. please help?
