Hey brother, I'm a cop here in NYC and I know what you're saying. I know sometimes people hate us cuz they feel we abuse our power ( and some of us do - but they eventually get theirs in the end ) but if they experianced what we go through on a daily basis, they'd understand. Not that I'm complaining about the job ( there is no perfect job ), I enjoy helping people and all, but some of you will never, ever believe what we go through. It's gets to be overwhelming and after a while you become numb. But it's a job none the less...a tough job but a job regardless and I never bring anything home or visa-versa. You can't.You'll never survive 20 years if you do. You have to leave it all behind and take the crap the public gives you.Smile and say "Have a nice day."

No, I don't hate cops. Y'all have your jobs cut out for you.
However, I think that some do abuse their position, which leads to the general public distrust of the justice system in general. Dirty cops, dirty judges, money grubbing attorneys who do nothing but broker deals within the system. All have contributed to this image that has basically created the problems we have in society today.
Some however, feel that government has basically taken over their lives, once in the system always in the system, is the phrase I have heard time and time again.
When I heard the term "They look like they need to go to jail." from a cop being interviewed on a local news story during a local warrant sweep, I thought, "Wow, you personally just cost somebody a lot of trouble based on your opinion"
This is the kind of image that hurts good cops.

If you are a cop, hell no I don't hate you.There have been times in my life where your intervention has caused me to be incarcerated, without prior notice or warning, and at the time I truly hated you. After learning some lessons and above all learning how to not get arrested where I almost started to understand you, but at that point I became dismayed with you and your job and for the both of us I passed on your friendship and I'm sure you felt no great loss either. All in all you guys are kinda creepy and I can't really say that I'd ever trust any of you!

I don't hate you but I know that you are no better than me. You are just like me. You are tempted by all things bad and you will act on some of them. YOu are a murderer in waiting. You will kill someone just to see what it is like. I am 5'2" and have been beaten by 2 male officers because I was drunk and talking ****, but I kicked some *** too. I live in the ghetto and know the real side to cops, you will take my homeboy to a rival neighborhood and drop him off there to be jumped or killed because he won;t snitch or just for the fun of it. No one in my neighborhood ever calls the cops. Someone smashed my car the other night drunk driving and it did not even cross my mind to call 911. I woke up and my car was on the curb and the guy who did it is paying for all the repairs, but I never wanted the cops involved.

I like the question. When someone talks about how bad cops are, they say just "cops" not an individual. So if someone hates the "cops" instead a paticular one ,then they must hate all of us. I love to her someone say," Man, I hate cops..." and then you tell them you are a cop and they change the statement,"...but you're cool."

No but I have a stereotype prejudice against cops. It's only because of the ones I have personally met.
To me: Cops are this clique of buddies who think all the world is law breakers and their out to make their quota by golly. A friend got a ticket because 2 inches of her bumper was in the red part of the curb. That is just pettyness!
And cops don't give cop relatives tickets or arrests. I know a wife of a cop who got stopped for drunk driving. But because she was a cops wife, they told her to get home and stay out of trouble. Her husband told us so in traffic school, and I believed him, he was a cop.

do i hate you? i don't know you. I don't hate cops because they are cops i hate them because they are @ss holes. I called the cops about a life/death situation and they didn't come, some lady called the cops on me because i was playing xbox in the hall way of an apt that i've lived in for 20yrs. they came then and took me to jail

no I dont hate cops I just dont think they should go against the other person if they are friends with one of the people against the other person I think everything should be equal and if you are friends with one of the partys then the situation should be handed down to another cop that knows nothing about either party
