I'm sure they can help for a while...but what good are they if they expire, if they are issued for only 6 months or a year, then the other person is given a chance to strike! I'm asking this because I fear my own husband, but if I do this, he would just come back when the order is done, I may need one for myself and my children! he's in the Millitary, threatens over the phone, and will be home soon!! I will also do divorce papers, my children would not be safe with him!!!

...are there even any?

I've been looking around and I found to be fascinated by the fact that there are apparently no downfalls on the legalization of so-called "soft drugs" in the Netherlands.
This even seems to be helping the people, as their rate of addiction is one of the lowest in the world.

Perhaps this could be an example for the rest of us...

Or am I missing something?

i go to a catholic school, we are required to have laptops.
without my permission or acknowledgment they took my laptop and took it to be searched through.
i thought at first i had it stolen when i went to get my backpack too.
so is a private catholic school above the law so that they can steal my backpack and go through my private stuff without my consent? now they are even holding it hostage and are making my parents pick it up!!

In East Lansing, MI, February 1994, Traci Messenger delivered her second child Michael by C-section. He was born at 25 weeks gestation, after early labor couldn’t be prevented. In preparation for the premature birth, Traci and her husband Gregory (who is a dermatologist) were informed by their doctor of the risks to the child. At the time, a child born at 25 weeks had a 30-50% chance of survival and 90% chance of a brain bleed causing some degree of mental and physical handicap. They requested that the staff not resuscitate the child or put him on life support at birth. Their doctor later denied agreeing to their request, wanting to evaluate the infant before deciding what to do (this was seemingly a miscommunication between patient and doctor).
When born, Michael weighed 1 pound 11 ounces, typical for his gestational age, and was purple and limp. A neonatal intensive care physician’s assistant, who had been instructed by the doctor to not revive the child unless it looked

Why should the National Health Service pay for Muslim women to have their virginity "restored"
Surely there are more important surgical priorities than THAT !
Do you think Gays will be queueing up for a "Re-bush" on the NHS when they hear about it?
Or their boyfriends to have "Piston-rings" fitted?

My son was in a fight at school and the other boy busted his front tooth. It will cost several thousand dollars to repair. I've been told that if the other parents don't agree to help with the costs that I should press assault charges against the boy. I don't agree because this could potentially destroy this child's life. Would you file charges?

I was awarded resitution by a court order last Sept. I was suppose to receive 1/4 of the money within thirty days and the rest within six months. I has in a shooting incident and the guy that shot me hasn't even paid me half of what he owes. Is there anything I can do to get my money or get him put in jail for not paying. I have hospital bills that I have to pay and he is walking free while I am struggling to pay for what he did. Please give any advice that you can! The District Attorney's office acts like they don't even care.

Thanks, Matt

The Taliban enforced law that women must wear burkas. This is based on Islam :
---
'Aisha used to say: "When (the Verse): "They should draw their veils over their necks and bosoms," was revealed, (the ladies) cut their waist sheets at the edges and covered their faces with the cut pieces."
---

When some Americans fight to keep gay and lesbian people from having the right to marry, their main argument is based on Christianity :
---
Lev 18:22-23 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
---

The biggest reason that gays are kept from marrying legally in the United States is because there are outspoken Christians who don't want it.

If that is a justified position, should we then pass law that all women should wear the burka in the United States under the same argument - that there are outspoken Muslims here that desire that?

(Not talking about what should be accepted within religions - but the separation of church and state)

so here is something that has been bothering me, why is it when we are working for a company and we are about to quit because we found a new job we have to give a 2 week notice so the company can find someone to replace you. but then why cant companies give an employee a 2 week notice when they are gonna fire them, that way the employee can look for a new job within those 2 weeks. i think its only fair if we give 2 week notice i think companies should give the same respect back.. what do you think?

Freedom of religion is a wonderful thing. People should be free to worship who(what) ever they wish as long as it doesn't harm others.

But let's say that my religion stated that I had to kill 5 people every day who were not of my religion. Or that my religion stated that I must infiltrate a country with others of my religion until we had enough for a good foothold for a war behind enemy lines. Or that my religion said that I must force everyone else to follow my religion too under penalty of death or slavery. Let's say that my religion says to cause harm and/or cover up when others cause harm.

In those cases, should my religion still be protected under the freedom of religion laws?
