My ex refused to stop cheating so I divorced him. He is currently in contempt for non-payment of support. Now my lawyer tells me I'm not allowed to move away from my ex, since I have custody of our kids. How is this fair, especially if I cannot afford to live in the area my ex lives in?

Say that a company works its employees to midnight or aorund there, and then they have to turn around and go back to work 6-9 hours later the next day.

Is it a legitimate (and legal) argument if you say that the company ignored health concerns? Such as, making employees work these kinds of shifts can cause significant health concerns/problems such as sleep problems, depression, and even an early death. Doesnt a lack of sleep (because the body needs an average 8 hours) cause those problems with people... I know scientists and doctors state that getting too little sleep causes health problems.

Thank you!

He said i had to wait until the next day to get it back. He put it in his desk drawer without locking it and told me not to mention it again. Then afterschool he said i could get it back if i participate in a debate that i had to prepare for in 10 minutes. After I basically won, he called me outside and asked the value, then said it was stolen. He didn't seem to care and told spoke to my dad saying it was my responsibility because I should not have had it out. Is there any way to track it, find out who has it, or make him reimburse it? It had personal pictures of my family, earphones, 110 songs, a UMD, my WEP code, a 1GB memory stick and schoolwork on it; almost a $300 value. Please help me, I am desperate for answers! Thank you very much.

When Michael Dukakis was running for president he stated he would cap nurse’s salaries (nationally as he did in Mass) to help contain for profit health care costs. Essentially nurse’s salaries did become regulated. Based on years experience and area of the country the salaries are the same at all facilities in each region. Why isn’t this done for CEO and doctor’s salaries and for profit margins of any entity that uses federal funding (any medical facility that receives federal funds and any drugs or products discovered using federal money for research).

I bought a house some months ago and problems keep coming to light that undoubtedly should have been caught in a reasonably conscientious inspection.
Does anyone know if Kentucky law limits the amount of a suit against a house inspector to the cost of the inspection, or can you sue for cost of repairs? I've heard that this "cost of inspection" limitation applies in some states, but can't get a verification for KY.
Thanks.

Mummy & I live in a big house in the country. I stand to iherit all of my father's estate next year when I become of age because he died last year.

Well I took the Chauffeur out recently to celebrate Christmas and we had a few shebets, but on the way home in the Bentley we were stopped by the police and George our Chauffeur proved to be over the drink driving limit and has since had his licence revoked by the court.

Because he is our Chauffeur, but does not have a licence do you think I should terminate his contract.

What could the BBC or Government do then?

Or, say 1 Million people stop paying? Impossible to take that many to court and so others might follow.

to everyone? If people start thinking it is "free" we are going to have real problems keeping costs down, which is what we have now because people have no clue what it costs, regardless.

I just left a part-time job working in a one-girl office for a consultant. I got out because this guy was shady, I never knew if he'd be able to pay me or not due to all his bounced checks and overdrawn business bank account. I've got a great full-time job and a new career. I want nothing to do with this former employer but he keeps trying to hold on to me by emailing me questions (like where a file is - that he knows, he's just lazy). The man is scary and I want to cut ties. He asked me if I'd come work for him once a month on Sat. mornings, etc. How do I cut ties with this jerk? He's bad news and isn't honest, he is still using my old email address to harrass people who owe him money. I don't like my name being used in disguise. What's a firm way to tell him he needs to stop and that I'm no longer available to do anything for him?

I was pulled over for "failure to drive in one lane" which basically the cop say means I veared into the bike lane for a moment. Anyway... BAC came back .087 second test .098.

1. There was five minutes between both tests. Does that not seem like a huge variation?
2. Will a prosecutor still really pursue those and go to trial if that is the only evidence and if one reading is within a 10%margin of error that may mean I was not legally intoxicated.? I submitted to no field sobriety tests and answered no questions.

Thanks!

I (as well as atleast 5 other people) were hired within a 3 month span of time (approximately 8-10 month ago) and told when we were hired that a benefit of the job is that the employer would pay a percentage of our federal tax. While no one has this documented from the employer, atleast 6 people are able to verify it and management has verbally stated that they did say it but did not mean it in that way (now covering it up so they don't have to pay). It was initially presented as a job "perk" (as there are no others with the job). Several employees have quit over this and we are all going to be heavily taxed, as they have only been withholding 6% of tax (not enough to cover taxes in PA). Is there legal recourse?

i have stupidly handed over money to someone saying they are the landlord. They used to own the property but 6 months ago the house got took off my landlord. He applied for a court order and its just came through that he has to leave the property for 7.1.08.

Unfortunately, its not him living in the property, i have moved in and just found out and we dont have much money to move. Because the court order was for the landlord, can i apply for one or is this the final decission and i have no rights

Waterboarding, the use of white phosphorus, the detention of prisoners beyond the rule of law or in facilities worse than that of any billeted soldier are all examples of breaches of the Geneva Conventions.

These are well documented facts that beggar any countr argument.

The question is, once those rules are disregarded, is there any compulsion on enemy combatants to then follow them.

I live in Chicago, Illinois and plan on moving to Pennsylvania but i rather be emancipated to make high school enrollment there much easier...I need as much information as I can. If you can give me numbers to places I can call and legal sites I'd pretty much appreciate it.

OK let me start by saying that I do NOT drink and drive ; in fact I don't even drink a drop of alcohol if I am driving. I do drink but ONLY at home or if some one else (who has NOT been drinking!) is driving.

Also, I am ALL FOR taking drunk drivers off the road; in fact I do not feel that the penalties for those caught are strict enough.

However, why are drunk driving check points not considered unconstitutional? More specifically against the 4th amendment?

It seems to me that the government has no right whatever to stop people at random like that?

It seems like the cops waiting outside of a bar would be ok? After all people are usually drinking in a bar and I would be ok with people being stopped when driving away from a bar? That would make more sense?

How are the random check points legal? Doesn't this kind of reak of facism?
