as long as you don't file, you haven't broken any laws. once you file, you enter into an agreement to pay. the US supreme court ruled in 1991 that our labor was our personal property and we exchange it equally in exchange for pay. the 16th amendment recquires only those who "profit or gains" to be taxed. the vast majority of americans aren't recquire to pay income taxes. they outlawed slavery in 1864.

this is why the irs threaten so hard and then simply settle out of court. THEY DON'T WANT IT TO GO TO COURT because they will lose in court. the supreme court has already set precedence.

This is a doubt and question regarding legal matters. No legal advice is necessary. Just a clarification.. Yesterday the Mumbai court in INDIA gave 2 punishments to one person ( 1.Life imprisonment for murder and 2. Five years imprisonment for a grave offence) The court directed that the 2 punishments be implemented same time. My doubt is when he is undergoing life imprisonment, how the 5 years imprisonment can be implemented? When it can not be implemented what is the rationale in awarding a second punishment. Any legal experts are welcome to clarify this doubt. Thank you.

I live in Pennsylvania and had this lady make up false harassment charges. When I took it to court me and my lawyer talked to the police officer and he plus the judge came to an understanding that the charges were totally false. The charges were totally dropped and the ticket was thrown out because I have never seen the lady before and never seen her after she also did not come to court. My question is do I still need to have my record expunged even if the ticket was thrown out and the charges were dropped?

So I applied for health insurance and was denied coverage because the medical history that I provided did not match what they had. So i called them to find out why this was and they said that I was getting prescriptions filled on a regular basis. I haven't had a prescription filled in over 5 years!! so I asked them where this was happening and they informed me it was in Maryland. i live in CA and have never even been to MD. I told them this and they said that this is what came up when they ran my SSN and Date of birth and they can't just take my word that it is not me. should I be worried? what can I do to fix this?

My Dad says that when he dies he wants to be buried on his property which has been in the family for many decades. Can this be done? Is there any laws against it? Would you have to apply for any special permits for doing such a thing?

So little miss sweet-tart is preggo.

16-year old Jamie Lynn Spears (younger sister of Britney) stars in Nickelodeons’ “Zoey 101”.

According to Louisiana "Age of Consent Laws" (see link, below), this falls under the category of "Felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile"..i.e, rape.

She met her sperm donor at church (nice!).
Anyone wanna bet that 19-year old Casey Aldridge won't stick around to play the role of pappa?

What kind of message does this send to America's youth?

I suppose Jamie was jealous of all the well-deserved criticism her no-talent older sister was getting for being a drunk, drugged-out, no-talent mom-from-hell redneck wreck.

Nickelodeon should drop Jamie like a hot potato if not on moral grounds then for legal reasons.

What’s your view on this – is it okay for little girls to get knocked up?
Or, should we just coddle the little darlin’ and say “tisk-tisk, what will be will be”?

I about choked when I read this on the news:
“Jamie Lynn plans to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana — "so it can have a normal family life."

“Normal”?
There is nothing normal about a minor having a baby.

If a potential employer says "I can only employ you if you could bring in clients" what is the best reply an interviewee could say if he is new to the place (hence doesn't know many people in the area) and being freshly graduated, does not know what "market" is out there in the profession?

Someone else signed the retainer fee agreement and paid for the fee initially. We NEVER signed ANYTHING that had to do with us hiring them on, or us being responsible for anything monitarily. Can they take legal action on monies owed? Or would the person who signed the retainer fee be responsible? By the way, we feel that the person who signed the contract should have to pay because of some extenuating circumstances.

At a basketball camp i won 3 individual awards, 1 on 1, speed shooting and Free throws, and i was very happy to have won but then the camp instructor said i could only claim 1 award, the second 2 awards would go to the 2nd place finishers. I earned the awards what do you think about awarding the second best. Also in schools they are always trying to push the team concept on you, my stance is forget the team your one man and those people dont care if u have a job or not, your born alone not with a team. What do u think about the team metality, and about awarding a second place finisher over the winner without even recognizing the origanal winner at the awards ceromony, its like claiming a product without a copyright

I found out (after the fact-mind you) that my 10 year old daughter saw the fertilization of the sperm and the egg in a health class. Then they talked about different types of families....and alternative lifestyles.
Don't misunderstand I am not prejudice againsts gays and lesbians (I have two gay uncles - so please no nasty comments) or anyone for that matter.
However, being the active parent that I am I would have liked to have known what my child was learning at school. There was no paperwork stating this is what she was learning.

They send papers home for every other subject......

I feel my parental rights were taken from me.
I would have liked to be the first person to talk to my child and I feel she is still too young - that is my right - isn't it???

Would you say something? What would you say?

A contractor we hired is suing us. He sent a number of threatening emails, and in the last he said "And just in case you can't read it I am suing you for $1,000 instead of $568! You had your chance!" Attached to the email was a copy of his notarized claim suing us for $1,000. About a week later we received notice from the clerk of court that we were indeed being sued... for $4,000!!! Enclosed with the notice was their copy of his claim. He CHANGED the 1 to a 4 AFTER he notarized the claim form. Is this legal?

This is just a long shot and I don't know the laws. I am a single mother and I am working at the state hospital. When I approached my nurse manager months ago, I told her my situation in that I had no family support, or from the father of my baby. I said that I would have to quit and look for another job, so that I could put the baby in daycare and have regular hours (no weekends/nights/holidays) I have worked as a nurse for many years and have lot of experience. they said that if they could accomodate me, would I consider staying. I said yes. Well, now that's all gone out the window and they are saying I have to come back sooner then planned and that I will have to work 12 hr shifts, weekends and holidays. I realize it is not their job to fix my problem, but I could have quit before and had another job. I am looking and have applied. i will get something else, but I'm so angry that they expect me to do this. I did not plan on being a single mom, it just happened, my ex screwed me over

Who do I give the court summons to? The manager at the garage? Or do I have to send it to the corporate office? That's all I need to know is who is authorized to recieve this court summons. I'm suing them for $1,040 for parts and labor to fix what they have broke on the car. Small claims court.
