billing in the mail is 2 bucks lower than the internet billing charges,which they are collecting

Did you notice they say shipping & handling? Consider the 2 bucks to be handling. Someone is taking the time to mail the stuff so it's more than just postage.

You are not just paying for the shipping. You are also paying for the packaging (the box, peanuts/foam and packing slip), as well as any service charges the company incurs by having the package picked up by the shipping company.

I run into the opposite problem when I sell books online through half.com. The site only reimburses the shipping itself, but not any of the packaging necessary to get the book there in one piece.

must be the disreputable vendors you choose to do business with. some people, like me, don't have this problem
