A older woman wants to make me her next of kin so I can inheret her money. The place she is going though that is handling her funds wants 800.00 for processing fees. The woman paid 500.00 and said I only need to send them 300.00. She sent me a picture of her and her late husband. She keeps telling me she is for real and this is not a scam. This is too hard to believe.

We have what we believe is a sewage leak under our trailer. The trailer smells horrible with sewage. We don't see the leak on the ground outside and it's not getting in our house, the drains are also not backed up.

My question is, since it's probably under the ground, does the trailer park have to pay for the damages? We've only been living in this trailer for less than two months, we own the trailer.

Links to a law site that tells me yes or no would be helpful too, since we would have to present her the information. I've looked all over the net and I can't find the answear. I don't want to have to pay out of pocket for a leak that isn't our fault when this trailer already has so many other problems.

Thank you.
Joy

Sister goes to her older brother's house in the middle of the night, badly bruised after being beaten by abusive husband. This is not the first time this happens.

Older brother sees battered sister... is fed up with abusive husband.

Sister begs older brother not to go confront abusive husband and continues to make excuses for him.

Older brother takes his shotgun, and drives to abusive husband's house anyway. Older brother shoots abusive husband to death, freeing his sister once and for all...

This is not legally justified, but what are your thoughts about the ethics behind the matter? Is the older brother justified in his actions?

For example:

When feminists made rape studies, they released their 'results' claiming one in four women were raped. Yet, these women themselves - let alone the men 'responsible' - were not even remotely aware they had been 'raped' (by feminist definition).

So, we know the general population's interpretation of rape is that of a gruesome & violent crime. However, the feminist definition included repeat 'requests' (nagging for nookie) and exchange of favours (bribes).

Is it 'fair' to claim that one in four women are 'raped' when indeed they are not - specifically not according to Joe Blogg's definition of the word.

Additionally, the same data released included a mathematical error which, if memory serves actually made the reality closer to one in eight. And that did not account for the forty-some percent of women who did NOT agree they had been 'raped'.

Based on the facts and accounting for the heavy repercussions of this crime, should misrepresenting this be made illegal? (1 in 4)

I was injured in an auto accident recently. I spoke to a lawyer and he said he would take my case and would charge me one third of whatever settlement he is able to get me. I have tried contacting other lawyers to make sure I'm getting the best deal possible, but so far no one else has gotten back to me.

i am pro gun, but i want to hear oppsing views. ive become more liberal and i understand that conservative views are too simplistic and was wondering if my view on guns is too simpistic also. the fact that people should own a gun to protect themselves may seem rational, but i am not sure and would like some legitimate facts or intelligent opinions. thanks.

Baby Talha Ikram was tortured to death by his stepmother and she only received 9 years in prison. She will be out in 5 years or less. Please would you sign the guestbook so that I can print it out and take it to Downing Street - I want to campaign for tougher sentences for child-abusers.

I have a friend who lives in Iowa and just got served papers saying his blood was found on a money box involved in a robbery that happened in 2004. He doesn't know for sure if he commited that crime or not because he was running around doing illegal things all the time back then. I guess I was just wondering how long authorities have before the case gets dropped all together...? I think it's called statute of limitations?

Our company provides a Christmas Bonus for hourly employees in some departments. For this bonus, all eligible employees have $0.10 per hour clocked held from their check. Then, in December, they are given the money held and the company matches that amount.

Here's where the confusion comes in. One of our more unfortunate managers decided that his employees should not have to pay their part of the Christmas bonus, so he pays them $0.10 more per hour over what he would normally pay them, thus making the business pay for both halves of their Christmas bonus (i.e. an employee is paid $15.10, instead of $15.00). Now we are correcting it whenever an employee comes up for review, but they are not all being reviewed at once. However, our Human Resource Manager thinks that the .10 extra on these employees counts as a separate benefit, and if removed from one employee, it must be removed from all.

So, does this 10 cents/hr count as a separate benefit?

I sent it today, this teacher quit on October, I thought he still
worked there but I called later to the school after I sent it and they said he no longer works there since October. Will they send it back to me or will they forward it to his home address even though he quit on October(2 months ago).
If he got fired on October (which I'm thinking he did but not sure), will they forward it to his personal address or will they send it back to my address ?

I'm referring to a small medical community college in a small town. Few students and teachers.

Do you think that when they receive the card, they'll look at the card and think that it's "unworthy" for them to forward it to his address ? It is not unethical.

and another thing, do you think that more than likely they won't forward it because "the teacher no longer is their business". ?

I manufacture a product for motorcycles. I sold one to a dealer. The dealer sold it to his customer and installed it. The customer took it home and said it failed. So, the dealer took it back and looked at the product and did not find a problem, so the customer took it back and claim there was still a problem. I am willing to any part that may have a problem. The dealer is asking to be reimbursed for his labor. The dealer has sold and installed a lot of this product and has not had any problems like this. Who should pay for the labor now?

I was recently promoted at my company.. My new boss was begging me to work for her and i took the job. Now, what all she does is talk down to me and blame me for stuff i didn't even do, like loosing papers or taking things out of order. I put in one hundred and ten percent and she treats me like a total piece of garbage, embarrasses me and talks down to me in front of co workers. The other day i came back from vacation and didnt get home till 5 in the morning cause my plane was delayed and she said in front of everyone "what are you on todday" and she knew i was tired (bc i made a mistake) she is rude, obnoxious and promised me "more Pay" and i havent seen that yet. I need this job because i need experience until i can find a better job so im out of luck here. i need to be at this position for at least a year and its only the 2nd month. should i report her to the higher ups or just take the abuse and embarassement. I work really hard and she knows it...why is she doing this?

I attend a public school, and there is a printed form and an online form for the code of conduct.

As it says in the code of conduct, that there HAS to be a "Reasonable and timely notice of all rules, regulations, policies and penalties to which they may be subject."

Reccently (last Tuesday), my school decided to give detentions to ANY one seen hugging or holding hands with ANY other person.

Siblings are under fire, friends are under fire, and relationships are under fire.

It also says in the code of conduct that the "comission of sexual intercourse, rape, sodomy, or indecent exposure (moonign or like activities)." is prohibited at all times.

Theres also a site based descision making counsel made up of two parents, three teachers, and a board member for when they want to change the code of conduct.

That meeting did NOT take place when they put in this rule

Are my rights as a girlfriend, friend, and sister being violated?
Can they rightfully do this?

I recently purchased some original music from this person over the internet. He is semi popular I met him via his website on both myspace and his personal one. In the past I purchased things from him with no problem. I sent the check to his home residence he received it and afterwards said he'd be sending the things since then I have tried numerous times to contact him and sees he is receiving my messages and reading them. I plan on sending a certified letter to him to make sure he signs it but I have no clue what I should do. It seems contractual in nature yet I would rather report it. Im not sure whats the best avenue?
