If you want to graduate, it is legal.

I've never seen anyone get detention at random, so if you don't like it, you can choose not to get it.

It's not imprisonment at all.... it's detention.

How much legal force do you need it to carry? If law were involved then I think detention would not be severe enough punishment.

Your question seems overly dramatic.....

No, it's not false imprisonment.

They cannot use force to keep you in detention, but if you leave, they can expel you.
