I recently read that New Hampshire has a state law that its primary must happen at least a week before any other state's primary (I'm not American). Now no other state can pass such a law, obviously because it'd be impossible (NH was there first). But what's stopping other states from passing similar laws in different realms, eg. New York passes a law saying JFK airport flights should get preference over Newark, or whatever. Is there anything the Fed or other states can do to prevent a state from unilaterally passing laws that affect other states? Is there a procedure to have such a law revoked? Thank you.

As tax payers we pay for peoples health care that don't care if they pay their bills. Not all addicts are dead beats but when they get "sick" they can run up a large medical bill that, most of the time, doesn't get paid by them. If they use drugs, it takes more drugs an usual to take care of them in the hospital and they require more care than the average person.

Okay, so I'm 18 and a college student. My parents recently moved to South Carolina. My best friend from my home state of New Jersey is coming to visit me, and for his birthday I got him a handle of gray goose. I know it is illegal for a minor to carry alcohol in an unopened container but how does it work for an 18 year old? Are they still under the same law? In this case is a minor considered someone below the legal drinking age? I was just wondering if it was better to ship it via fedex / UPS to him or would he be safe just packing it in his bag and taking it with him? thanks in advance.

A mail away pharamcay company told me that I owed them money, I contacted them with a reciept that showed that I didnt not. They inturn claimed that the receipt was invaild and sent my account to a collection agency, in corresponding with the collection agency, in time, it was determined that the debt was invaild. In the mean time, I have incurred expenses of copies and postage that add up to be almost 1/2 of the debt the mail away pharmacy claimed I owe.

Is there anything that holds the orginal vendor legally responsible for reimbursing me for the expenses I incurred to prove them incorrect?

We have a contract with a landscape company to plow our parking lot. We pay EACH time they have to come out. Unit owners don't clean or move their cars for sometimes 2 days. The Condo Board does NOTHING about it. In the meantime, as a unit owner, I'm being charged unnecessary incurred plowing fees because the plow has to come by 3, 4 or even 5 times to clean up after the unit owners decide they feel like cleaning their cars. I told the assocation that they need to send letters telling the unit owners that they will incur any over charges for plowing due to their not cleaning and moving their cars. If the board doesn't enforce something, can I file an action for damages citing "unnecessary incurred plowing expenses on a unit owner due to board's negligence?"

THANKS for any assistance. I am really angry that for one storm, we are paying a plow company to come out 4-5 times. It's eating up the funds!

I work for a towing company that has a Clients vehicle here being stored due to an accident and until the Insurance company desides what to do with it.

The Client called, saying he's wanting to pick up the vehicle & the Insurance co will pay for it...."Fine, but we need to receive payment from them before we can release it" Client is okay with that..... Insurance company calls me up & demanding me to release it & then they'll send check. I tried to explain to her our policy while she's accusing me all we want is to collect storage money, and also she said to me, " If we feel comfortable letting the client sleep out in the street cause he lives inside the vehicle cause we want storage money"

What the heck??? I'm going to contact her supervisor letting him know how rude & disrespecting she was. Are there any legal terms I can use on expressing her behavior? Help!!

My children are 25 & 23. My ex and I are good friends. We both want to handle the arrears I owe ourselves without the counties interference. There was a time we lived together and I paid her $5000.00 over 8 months that they never subtracted because we cant remember dates and I paid in cash. The county has taken my drivers license because I have been unemployed for 6 months. The interest on my arrears is $165.00 per month. We tried to work with them but they keep putting obsticles in our way. I have been turned down for a job because I have no drivers license. What about my right to work, to live and my freedom?

Is it purely a coincidence that when the New York Times comes out with a story that 4 White House lawyers pressured the CIA to destroy evidence in a Federal case that there is a fire where they store White House documents?

I'm not really a conspiracy nut, but this White House has little/no respect for truth or honesty. You can't believe anything they say. It reminds me of Tricky Dick. They have no credibility.

I'm just wondering what the cause of the fire was. Is it purely a coincidence or is someone trying to hide something they could get in trouble for?

Kokomo Academy is supposed to be a treatment facility for troubled youth. My son, eleven yrs. old, was sent there but I have no direct information on the history of abuse, neglect, or any other negative issues that have occurred there in the past or present. I read that there have been molestation and beatings reported by an employee of Kokomo who is currently employed there. I need to know that my son is safe and not in harms way. It was also said activity has been done out of the sight of surveilance cameras, reported by the employee.

OK, this is the situation;

I am right now a math/philosophy major, work study student, working, of all places, the philosophy office. Now, the secretary told me not to worry about coming to work today and tomorrow, yet I would still get paid. Please note, I am here all by myself, and I don't know if any professors are coming in or not. I don't qualify for any type of paid holiday, and my consciene is telling me to be here, that it would not be morally and ethically right to take the day off and get paid for it. I really do need to work, money wise, so I am here in the office right now. I know, I know, some of you are gonna say, well, if you are so moral, what are you doing on Yahoo answers? OK, already, I'm just trying to find answers to this dilemma. I am here though, rather than taking the day off and still getting paid.

I'm sorry, that's just how I am.

I found a hair in a new toothbrush I bought.?
I bought a new toothbrush and I haven't even opened the package when I noticed a strand of hair. What is the best thing to go about this?

I'm tired of this crap. Once at tacobell I found a pice of plastic in my quesadilla, then once I bought milk that was bad but the experation date was good. I found hair in my food. Never complained just threw it away.

I'm tired of that nasty stuff. Well what is the best way to go about this.

A while back, my friend was exposed to the risk of HIV by a HIV+ guy who lied about his status and fully engaged in unprotected sex. Records show that he knew about his positive status because he'd tested positive and already received counselling for it 2 mos prior to the encounter.

Thankfully, my friend turned out negative. However, we wonder if this guy might be a real danger to society with the way he deceived others. My friend was lucky, but this guy's new girl might not be as lucky.

What would you do? Should my friend press criminal charges against him, or would that be pointless? Which charges would this fall under...e.g., "bodily harm"? Should she "move on in life and forget," or would this allow him to then go and have undisclosed unprotected sex with other guys and/or girls? How would she go about doing this?...they live on opposite sides of the country from each other.

Hi all. It just occured to me that the media is blasting the airwaves and TV Commercials about NOT Drinking and Driving this Holidays. Like always have a designated driver or call a cab. My question is, if Cops wanted an easy solution for their problems, all they gotta do is park discreetly at any Local Bar or Restaurant and when they see somebody walking out eraticaly or driving off suspiciously, GOTCHA pull him over! Or is that illegal.

What if the person has already been sentenced from trial and the order was determined by the clerk of courts to not be because of new charges?

What would the person need to be 'competent' for in that case?

And if 'incompetent' is not the same as 'insane', when would this order be made?

(The person is in prison until 2015 for multiple aggravated robbery charges. These crimes were committed for the sole purpose of supporting a crack habit. No weapons were ever involved).

Everyone remembers the first time they smoked Cannabis. What was your first time like? Did you refuse it at first? Did you eventually agree to try it or take the first opportunity to try it? How old were you?

I smoked my first joint on a bus to India from London when I was 21 years old. I didn't inhale any of the joints offered until we were half way to India though.
