Is it purely a coincidence that when the New York Times comes out with a story that 4 White House lawyers pressured the CIA to destroy evidence in a Federal case that there is a fire where they store White House documents?

I'm not really a conspiracy nut, but this White House has little/no respect for truth or honesty. You can't believe anything they say. It reminds me of Tricky Dick. They have no credibility.

I'm just wondering what the cause of the fire was. Is it purely a coincidence or is someone trying to hide something they could get in trouble for?

I would believe it. Administrations would go out of there way to no limit to hide something they don't want discovered. They'll give everyone stupid stories that don't add up and silly accidents with even sillier excuses to cover up for it.

Is there any possibility that the USA spies were spying on them for the holidays and it just burnt up the wires?

Would that be illegal; do public officials have a responsibility to be transparent to the other professionals in Government?

This is interesting.

ps: according to the Patriot Act it may be legal--if it were true--in any event it would be a case to be heard by the Supreme Court.

You aren't a nut but you call the White House admin dishonest?

You sir, have stones of brass, often associated with radical and bitter liberals. Frankly, I can't believe anything YOU say.

1) It was an electrical fire.
2) The building is undergoing renovations, probably because it's below the standards of modern fire code.
3) People who vote liberal are usually not the brightest bulbs in the socket.

It amazes me how fast people jump to conclusions. No one has claimed the wanted information was destroyed. The visitor logs are maintained by the Secret Service. They have copies too.

I would rather not jump to conclusions about this fire till all the facts come forward.

I am not into conspiracy theories either, but this administration has really left me unable to be shocked by anything they do anymore.
