Depends on the criminal record, and what you plan to do. It also depends on what kind of person you are.

I don't buy this "I can't get a job because of my record" crap. I know several people with some pretty interesting convictions (no rapists, or pedophiles..I think they should just be shot) who have very good jobs. They just had to work harder to convince an employer they were worth taking a chance on.

Go to temporary employment agencies, they usually dont have as demanding standards. Dont worry about finding employment, Marion Barry, of New york still gets work after being videotaped smoking crack.

Many employers will take a chance on someone who made a mistake and committed a crime and is trying to turn things around.

If you lie about it and they find out.... Goodbye.
