If the item is covered under warranty then the labor is free of charge.

It depends upon whether or not said part is covered under your warranty, as well as the language of your warranty. Some warranties will cover all parts and worksmanship, others only parts. Still others will require you to pay a deductible against your warranty service. Read your warranty carefully. It may not be a bad idea to seek some legal council, should this repair be costly.

Warranty of a part has nothing to do with the cost of labor to replace that part.
