If someone tests positive for drugs (marijuana) and they have custody over a child, do they have to give up rights to the child immediately? If the other parent is not a drug user, and not the custodial parent, will the courts reconsider? Or does it depend on the evidence given in the initial hearing?

It's easy to just blame it on the individual but I strongly disagree with anyone who thinks that it's no one elses fault. I place the blame on american society as a whole. Public schools in particular. They are a breeding ground for hate and often push teens to the limit. I also blame society for giving uo on people. If you get arrested when your 18 and go to jail for even say 2 years, your done. Why don't people wake up? The things done now to stop bullying in schools and to "help" convicts" I think actually make things worse.

That is, there was an oral agreement between two people about the loan of sum of money. One person broke the agreement and did not pay the debt back. The other party took the matter to court and recovered the money when the case was won.

Rape (1) A person (A) commits an offence if—

I do not believe women have penises, at least not for the purposes of this law, perhaps.

However:

This may mean that a woman can assault a man in such a way that would be "commonly" called "rape", but not just by having sex with him.

I do allow for the possibility, however, that "female rape" offence may exist in common law (created by judges) Is there any evidence?

My boyfriend and I had carpet installed over a year ago in our basement. We went in to the carpet installer, picked out what we wanted, arranged install, and I handed over a cheque so the carpet could be ordered (I was told it was $1300 to have the carpet ordered). I never signed anything, didn't even recieve an invoice or statement. Carpet came in, installer came to my house and installed the carpet, and left. Still I never signed anything, not even with their installer. Now they are trying to come after me for money owing, that I was never told about. They have even gone as far as wanting to take me to court over it. I am going to fight it, as there is nothing stating my signature on a contract, or invoice saying I still owe a certain amount of money. What are my chances? I've even told them I would pay the money, but now they want to charge me all this additional money that makes no sense, and I feel they are just trying to scam me. Help!?!

my husband and i have a joint account together but the checks have his name on them. Two days ago i wrote a $900 check for rent and put it in an envelope. i told my husband to sign the check and put it back in the envelope so i could take it the next morning and drop it off on my way to work. i dropped the envelope off but come to find out my husband never signed the check... somehow our apartment complex cashed the check without any signature or a call from our bank to verify the check... is this legal? if so, i can just go get someones checks and write a bunch to me and not even need the persons signature... sounds kinda crazy and stupid to me... i dont understand how it was possible for them to cash my check? please someone explain

while leaving work i found some candy corn pumpkins and placed them on a coworkers car who is 22yrs old. no feuds between us or anything just good ole silly fun. i placed about 8-10 of them around his car. my coworker is mentally retarded and was mad about it. he told my manager a wk later my manager told me it was under investigation and i was to be suspened til the investigation was completed. if i found them on company grounds would there be a difference if i placed 8-10 leaves around his car instead? Will i get reimbursed for days suspened if the investigation does not prove i did it? i work at home depot

It would make believers of other faiths lawbreakers with their version of Christian canon the new law of the land - a very scary prospect for about 75 million non-Christians in the country and many of Christian faith who won't go along.

Please be aware of this bill and write your congressperson to oppose this bill if it ever comes up for vote!!

Plenty of other countrys have ID cards(with a microchip inside)already, but this "ID card" could lead to something more sinister. Fortunately, I know what it will lead to. Everyone must be willing to say "NO" when that time approaches and when that time comes? When that time arrives? I am uncertain.

I placed little candy corn pumpkins around another coworkers car as i was leaving work as a silly joke, it was a cold day so they didnt melt. There are no grudges or anything between us two, we sometimes are paired up and talk to each other.He is a racist metalhead and everyone else at work couldnt see why he was mad.He went to my store human resources manager and complained. They sent me home after coming in to work because they said the situation was under investigation. by home depot of course.so is it mandatory and if not shouldnt they give me a reason why i'm being suspended? they didnt mention harassment or vandalism at all to me. thanks

I called my cell service, and there is no way to block her. I changed my number once, she has the new one now. I really don't want to change my number again.

There is no real threat. It's just annoying! She leaves lengthy vm/text messages ,full of choice expletives. So I can't really got to the police. Plus, I live in another state.

Any advice would be helpful.

I recently (so I though) purchased a Nissan Sentra. The sales man had me thinking that I had been approved with a set intererst rate that they had matched from another company for financing my car. So I drive off and drove the car for a week.I then get a phone call a couple of days ago from the finance manager that I wasn't approved for that set interest rate and that it would go up 3 percentage points and to find my own financing. Well of course I got mad and had my boyfriend call and tell them that I wanted to return the Nissan and that I would like my Chrysler Sebring back (I had traded it in)They gave all this crap that it was a set contract but they originally had broken the contract because they had raised up the APR. Does anyone know of anything that will help to get out of this contract,this car still isn't in my name and it's not financed and the chrysler is still in my name I never gave them the title and they haven't paid it off yet.I just want to get out of my contract

The charge: Theft by taking.

Never arrested, though it's on my background check.
The case was dismissed, if the store made me agree to restitution shouldn't they have tried to contact me to collect it?

I've had recieved jury summons twice for the past 2 years. The instructions say to call after 5pm the day before the duty date, I have and a automated voice says to call the following day btw 9am-1pm, for further instructions, and I do. Another automated recording says I have completed my jury duty for a year.

I'm just confused, am I not suppose to present in a court and actually serve as a juror??? Have you had the same experience?

By the way I'm in California. Thanks.

So basically my best friend got in a lil trouble like 6 months ago and she was told that it was let go by the person she got in trouble with. She stole something from work and the police questioned her and that was that. They called her a few days later and she wasnt home but her old boss called and told her that he wasnt goin to charge her cuz he didnt want her to get into trouble cuz she was in nursing class. Well than she looked up her record and It has a theft charge on there with a disposition of Warrant! what does that mean? She never had to go to court never got any paper the police have never came to her house or tryed calling again? shes afraid to go to the police station and check it out. does anyone have any answers please?
