I ordered some items from a website over a month ago. They charged my credit card but never sent me a confirmation email or the actual products. I have called the number they have on the website and I believe it is an anwering service, because not once have they ever picked up. I have left messages and sent emails to no avail. What really ticks me off if the fact I wanted these items in time for the holidays. Do you think it is too soon to contact the better business bureau? Advice??

My daughter has fallen quite ill due to MRSA and secondary infections. She has a hearing 16 days from now; she is self-representing and has completed her portion of the "discovery" phase. Her exhibits have been prepared. She had a timeline of things that needed to be done or satisfied, and even with some non-professional help, has started to miss those deadlines. The exhibits were not submitted in time. She will be writing a "motion for continuance pleading" today when she is up from a nap. I looked up what that is, and in her state, the "motion" can be denied. Even though she is verifiably ill, I suppose that the judge could deny the request. If that happens, is there any alternative she can pursue, or anything else she can do? I am trying to find out as much as I can because she is too ill to spend much time at the law library. Currently, she is being treated at home by a visiting nurse so that she can avoid contact with the general public.
Thank you

Has any President of the U.S. ever been charged with violating the oath of office? Hypothetically, if a President in taking the Oath swears to "...preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States..." then through his words and actions shows open, blatant contempt for the document, could a citizen file civil or criminal charges against that President after he leaves office?

What is your opinion on gun control?

Sould we make guns illegal like most other countries?

Should we have a better gun control?

If your pro-gun...explain why you feel that way. Other than its in the constitution.

After all the school shotting, and the resent mall shotting do you think we should still have the right to own guns?

Thanks 4 your opinion

A young woman wrote poems praising Muslim Terrorists. Most of us wouldn't agree with the sentiments expressed but isn't this really a conviction for 'thought crime'?

I personally believe that the people of today's young generation are not mature enough to drink responsibly. I know that many people are, but majority rules, and most are not.

I can think of 8 different occasions (locally) where people have been killed by drunk driving in the past year. In 6 of those cases the drunk driver was between the ages of 20 and 24. The other two were teenagers.
The alcohol the ones who were under 21 were bought by someone between 21 and 25.
Apparently, the majority of people this age are not responisible enough to have this privelege.

I believe the drinking age should be raised to 25. (I am 23 and couldn't care less if it did.)

WHAT DO YOU THINK??????

The federal gov't (you and me as taxpayers) appears ready to bail out Floating Rate Loan holders, and possibly the mortgage industry. Are you OK with this?

Here's my scenario, hopefully this will help explain more fully :

Back in 2002 chose higher pmt, fixed rate mortgage. I did my homework. I looked at the economic and financial risks. I have a 30 year fixed rate mortgage at 5.125%. I only put 5% down. APR rate loans at the time were 1 - 2% cheaper. Hind-sight is 20/20, but I chose a safer bet.

If a business takes more risk, by lending to high risk borrowers, or if an individual takes on too much debt, should the Taxpayers (the rest of us) bail them out?

By bailing out entire industries and thousands of risky bowers, are we not encouraging the poor behavior? Are we not enabling ignorance?

What are your thoughts?

Organizations that searve one race is illegle, so why does the organization still exist?
the goverment turns it's head for things like thta, but let a white person try to set up an organization like the naacb, and try to defend whites against black rascism then they would say something, I aint prejudice but the government is

Summon was issued from the bank on 28th of March 2007 which I've to pay all the payment for the credit card. It's my mistake that I have paid the credit card payment twice on the same month and on march I didn't pay a cent. However I managed to settled the payment on 18th July 2007 and cancelled the card.Unfortunately the solicitor've filed a summon on behalf of the bank and ask me to come to the court for hearing case on 10th Oct 2007 (the letter is on 24th Sept 2007). I just ignored it coz I have settled it.2nd letter come to me, that I've rude to the court and legall action will be taken against me if I'm not attending to the court again, and the hearing case postponed to 5th Dec 2007.I'm scared and went to the court at 2pm and wait for my turn.At 3.30pm the lawyer called my name and ask me to go home because they find out I've settled the payment. Wasting of time, money and energy. They didn't even say sorry. What will u do, if this happened to u?should i summon back
