Seriously I have heard the most crazy stories about what people sue for in the US. Like someone robbing a house and tripping over a table and then suing the home owners.

A mother trips over a toddler in a furniture store and she sues the store. The toddler is the mothers child.

A car backs over someones hand, man sues driver. The man was in the process of stealing the hubcaps.

These were all successful suits. I mean come on, what is up with this, its so PATHETIC!!

I have a felony conviction from 1998 for fraud. It's not something Im proud of, but I was young and didn't understand what I would go thru in life with that on my record. Now that im older, im realizing that i cant afford for it to be on my record!

i owe 1,600 in fines and at the time of the conviction i was told that if i paid it off that it would be reduced to a misdemenor,. i didn't have the money then so it went on as a felony. now i want to pay it off and have it reduced to a misdemenor... is that possible?

I had a fire on September 18, 2007 - I am still living in a hotel. With this new microwave recall today, I decided to check on my microwave. ( Even though I thought my insurance company had done their homework) My microwave had a recall for FIRES in 2001. I of course was never notified. What recourse do I have with Kenmore/Sears ? My life was turned upside down after this fire......

If someone wrote their friend's address as a return address, and some random name as the recipient, and dropped it in a blue drop box without postage, would they return it to the "sender." Don't they have ways of preventing people from such fraudulent activity? Otherwise, we could all use mail for free...

I was on Portobello road in London a couple of years back and noticed a vendor that was selling psilocybin mushrooms of 5 different varieties, and I question the shop owner about the legality of the mushrooms.

He was a selling off of tables in front of the store. Every one that passed could see so I didn't think I was illegal.

He reassured that they were legal but where working on a law that would illegalize them shorty.

My unlce stole my ssn when i was small and now they cancled my health insurance and they told me that they want copies of my checks n stuff. now i have to pay for something when i turn 18. My mom lent 20k to a buisness owner but the business owner doen't want to pay back. I already talked to a cop, he told me to call a lawyer. Then I talked to a lawyer, the lawyer told me it will be expensive to hire him and he doesn't guarantee my mom will win the case.

All we have, is a 20k check from the business owner. What should we do now ?

I handed in a paper for my Music Appreciation about a month ago. The assignment was to go to a classical music concert then write a review. I attended a concert and did the paper, handed it in and havn't thought about it since. Today my professor asked to talk with me after class. She said she suspects plagirarism in my paper and we set up an appointment to talk to the department chair on Monday. I was pretty surprised to hear this so I went back and looked at my paper. I didn't recall any sort of misconduct but it turns out I did take a few other peoples opinions about the artist into my paper. I should of put quotes around them I know but obviously I didn't. Lets say someone walks into walmart goes to the cashier to purchase a nice tv for 1200 dollars the customer pulls out all cash

Lets say i found fake money at least 2 grand and i never knew it was fake or i was givin this after i sold a car or somthing and i attempt to go to wal mart to buy a nice tv with this money all in cash, would i get in trouble for this if i never knew the cash was fake? and i said i found this money or i was givin it?
