I DON'T WANT YOUR OPINION! If you don't know a site that will help me, don't tell me what you think about it. That is not what I am asking.

Actually, your best bet for that is to consult the constituion and supporting laws themselves. The best place to get an unbiased oppinion on something is to go straight to the source.

Cheers

I don't think you are going to find such a site - people don't put a lot of effort into really being Fair and Balanced on hot topics. The reasons for supporting state sponsored church is to enforce the religous laws as the law of the land and prevent people of other faiths from holding office or teaching other religious beliefs. Normally a positive affirmation of that religion is required to own property, vote, or hold office.
Our constitution's prohibition is based on the behavior of the English crown and competing civil authorities in forcing various religious beliefs down the citizens throats and prohibiting, persecuting and executing preachers who didn't toe the line. If you want to get some idea, look at the battles after Henry VIII died up to Elizabeth I then the civil war after James died up to 1660. Besides the Puritans (who wanted a purer faith than the Anglicans) and the Unitarians (whose founder died in jail for preaching that God was unique and Jesus and the Holy Spirit (Trinity) were not one with God.) I read the 1911 Encyclopaedia Britannica (available on line) for a hobby and some of the records of sect founders in England are pretty grusome.

If it is a site about separation of church and state, then it is not neutral. Our country was founded on Godly principals, and the constitution does not mention separation of church and state. This is a liberal statement. It would be like I asked for a neutral opinion of, "Why does Hillary advocate the murder of 30 million people whose only crime was that they were too young to be born"

The reason why it says "Or prohibit the free practice thereof" is because there saying the government will not force the belief in God on Americans...we have our freedom to worship as we please.i mean why is it ok to teach evolution in schools and not Creation? To me evolution is a religion of people who dont believe in God (Atheist). The only reason there is such thing as separtion of church and state is because this country forgot what it was built upon and they dont want to except the fact that is a God.
