i applied for a job and was told my background did not pass. they told me some minor things which were true like hit n run (which i hit a pole n ran lol) but also ridiculous things like driving without a licenses and possession of an uncontrolled substance.

if these things on my background check are not true, what do i do? who do i call? im only 20 and im really clueless on the procedures to correct this.

Call the employer and ask them who provided the information. Then contact the background check company and challenge the validity of the information provided.

If you lied about the hit and run on your application that would be enough to keep you from getting hired.
