I ordered some items from a website over a month ago. They charged my credit card but never sent me a confirmation email or the actual products. I have called the number they have on the website and I believe it is an anwering service, because not once have they ever picked up. I have left messages and sent emails to no avail. What really ticks me off if the fact I wanted these items in time for the holidays. Do you think it is too soon to contact the better business bureau? Advice??

The Better Business Bureau is of no use at all in making a claim.

Its ONLY use is that they will show the complaint against this company so that the next person who wants to buy from them, if he checks with the BBB, will see that there are complaints.

What you need to do is contact your credit card company, report the items were not received, and have them charge-back the money. If the seller is legit he should at least have been in touch with you.

If he contacts you after the credit card company reverses the charge, I'd tell him that you won't re-authorize the charge until AFTER you have the items in hand - let HIM take the risk, not you.

You need to send them a demand letter...send it certified return receipt requested...wait 2 weeks and then contact the better business bureau, the attorney general for your state and your local district attorney and file complaints with them. Additionally you can dispute the charge with the credit card company which I would do TODAY as well as file a small claims case against them. Good luck.

I'm not sure the BBB, will do any good. If you can't get a hold of the company, they will no doubt have a difficult time of it as well.

I would contact the bank/credit card company, and possibly they can work towards getting you your money back, with the fraud issue at hand.

Contact your credit card company, and inform them, so they can begin the investigation to reverse the charge. Start shopping for a new gift! You got railroaded - chances are great in these times

File a complaint with you State's attorney's office. They have fraud prevention divisions and can be of some help.
