Usually, the child's name is with held if a minor. If the child's name is used it has to be with consent. But to talk to the child and quote the child is ok. But if the minor's name is used, this is a boo-boo in many States.

Check with your State's Utility Commission, they also regulate recording phone calls in your State.

There are no laws prohibiting media interviews with minors (Except, in some places, if the minor has been a victim of, or is accused of committing, a crime)
