I just got my drivers license renual in the mail and they are placing a hold on it until I take care of the following citations.

4000a1vc = Unregistered Vehicle
40508AVC = Failure to pay or appear (for the registration)

The thing is I no longer have this car. It was non opperational and was towed away. Shortly after the ticket was issued.

My fine is over $500 dollars and the courts are closed today being that it's a holiday. Has anyone had anything similar happen to them?

I am a property tax consultant and I get paid commission for doing my work as well as 3 other employees. My boss owes me $5,000 in commission and will not pay me for my completed cases. He says the company has no money due to clients not paying invoices back from 2004. So in other words he is saying if the clients dont pay we don't get paid even though my services have been completed. My boss has two other companies that are making money and pays his wife who works for us ocassionaly $5,000 a month and has a nice house built in a rich neighborhood and home schools his four children who also take up karate. He drives a hummer, benz and two other vehicles. He has the money and still wont pay his employees. Can he do this? If we quit he says he doesnt have to pay us our commission so his staff is still there waiting to get paid with the holidays coming up. Someone please tell me how commission works and what legal actions to take. Thanks.

My friend was banned from driving for 15 months and was told he had to do his driving test again before he could drive, this was all due to speeding! silly guy i know. He had been driving for just over two years when it happened. So anyway the ban is over now and i was wondering what exactly happens? He has been told that the new drivers act does not apply to him anymore i.e he is now allowed 12 penalty points before he losses his license again, is this true? and also he has 1 years no claim bonus from before his license was revoked, can he use this after he passes his test again?
Ps i dont think he's going to speed again dont worry!.

My ex husband & I live about 3 1/2 to 4 hours away from each other. We have a son together & in the divorce decree it states that he gets the 1st, 3rd, & 5th weekends of the month for visitation. He hasn't come to see him since September. When we went before the judge on the day our divorce was finalized both of our lawyers asked us under oath if everything in the decree was in the best interest of our child & we both said yes. Is there anything I can do to make him start coming to see him when he is supposed to since he agreed to it? This is ridiculous that I have to be the only one raising our son. I know that he'll probably use some lame excuse that he's working or something. I'm just trying to figure out how to word it so that he might step up & start doing what's right. I called him a couple of weeks ago & he never called me back...and last night I texted him & asked him to please call or text me back so we can talk about our son & no response. I am fed up.

Suppose Congress (or all the state legislatures) were to enact a law similar to China's one child policy, that made it illegal for a woman to have more than one child. Please don't tell me why this won't happen, or whether it would be a good idea or not. My question is whether such a law would be constitutional. And if you say it would be unconstitutional, please cite the provision of the US Constitution that such a law would violate.

Can panic attacks be considered a disability? The last few jobs that i have had, i was rushed to the hospital cause i thought i was having a heart attack. Turns out that it was panic attacks. The last one i had, i lost my job over. Since i worked at the same place as my father in law, the company told him to tell me that i was no longer needed. They fired me while i was in my hospital bed. I know there are laws against that. They didn't have the grapefruits to call me and tell me over the phone. Does anyone think i have a case?

The other day, my dad and I went into a restaurant/pub in the evening to have a meal. A 16ish year old waitress led us to some seats. After we ordered two beers, a woman came up and demanded ID from me, at which point we were told to leave. (I go to university, am 19 years old and look older. I have a beard. I have not been asked for ID for over 2 years and certainly never since I have been 18. It grinds my bones to be asked at a restaurant not a club/bar where alcohol is exclusively purchased.) The point is that it is legal to order a drink with a meal when a person is 16 and not 18. So they had no right to turn me down on the basis of not being 18. I was not looked at and judged on my age by anyone other than the 16 year old waitress. My dad and I walked out and had a meal elsewhere.

I am a very vindictive person and would like to hurt the restaurant/pub as much as I can. What can I do?

I know about MPAA, and NATO, and those censoring associations, but those aren't law. They're voluntary. What law is there against someone opening a theater and playing home made pornographic material in it? What's to stop children from going in there? What are the laws, and where can they be found? Citations please. Thanks.

when a lawyer takes a case on a contingous basis, taking 33 1/3 of the total money earned, and if there is attorney fees, court costs etc... does he also take that out of the cash amount awarded?, and is it possible that the client could wind up with nothing, and the majority of the money goes in the lawyers pockets, and not the clients?

Ok so i had an angry neighbor call the CAS on me(CPS equivalent) and of course the allegations were unfounded but while in the doctors office today i noticed a letter from the CAS thanking my doctor for speaking to them(here in ontario you have to sign a waiver to give consent for the doctor to speak with those officials) and i was blown away and shocked.
I kept reading and find that the CAS were able to ask and obtain my medical records in regards to my pregnancy.
I am very angry that these people were allowed to obtain information about me and my kids from my doctor, the doctor said he asked about a waiver and they claimed i signed one which i didn't.
Its not that i have anything to hide or anything like that i just feel that each patient child or adult has the right to doctor/patient confidentiality.
I just cannot believe that they were able to lie and get what they wanted and just wanna know from you out there do you think i have a right to file a complaint?

The conditions are that I must
(1) appear before the court to be sentenced at a future sittings of the court or if called on within the a period of 12 months and must in the meantime
(2) keep the peace and be of good behavior

will they like ring me to set another court day or something?

I was told on Friday November 9th that the no contact order was lifted by my boyfriends probation officer. My boyfriend was supposed to meet with his po to sign papers on it. I am unsure if he did or not and I am feeling he didn't because he has not yet contacted me. Would the local police department know if the no contact order was lifted? I was told that my boyfriend didn't sign any papers and I don't even think he visited with his po on friday. The po advised me that he was to meet with him that day. What can I do? Do I wait for him to call or should I try to contact him. I am anxious to speak with him it has been a month since the situation with us has happened. Thanks.

I live in Texas, and I was not aware of this at the time, but I have heard that he may have stolen my car because I was there and told him to drop the car. I was also told that I should have called the police because He took my car without my permission, OR a court order, and Because I was there on the scene He should have dropped it. Not only that but he asked for $75 to drop it, and then decided he was not going to accept the money. I have since paid for my car, but Can i file a compliant with the Police Department maybe an see if I can get my money back?

She is in a county jail in Florida and she is there because of fraudulent activity/theft but she has children and no other support. Do you have any advice in this process?

I have been with my current employer for about 2 months now. I have found out it is not going to be as good of a fit as I at first thought. I may end up landing a position that pays double what this one does. The people at my current job are terrible. They take everything personally and if I give 2 weeks notice it will be hell. Is it feasible to give 1 weeks notice or less if I haven't been here past my evaluation period? This is a professional position at a not so professional company doing Network Tech stuff at a small town ISP.

See, I'm 16 with a car and I was hoping to go to an interview at Chick-fil-a on Wednesday. However, I just thought about if I would need a job permit? I am filling out my application right now and it says "Are you eligible to work in the U.S.? Check yes or no (Proof of eligibility is required upon employment). Is this talking about a work permit? If so, how do I go about getting one and how long should it take?
