Can someone file a restraining order against you if they don't have evidence? If you are afraid of a person but they haven't verbally threatened you or tried to hurt you, can you bring a claim? This person is always showing up in the same places as me, not doing anything but watching me. Does that constitute stalking?

Why do you pay income taxes? There is no law stating we must do such a thing. Think it was added as the 16th admendment? Well think again! Your wrong! Its a fraud! The 16th amendment was NEVER ratified by the states, which means it can NEVER be legally implamented. The American people were lied to! No American Citizen should pay income taxes! Dont believe me, check this out.. Then tell me what you think!

I get pulled over and im thinking to myself crud. I get ticketed for going 39 in a 25 zone. The road was pretty dark, and i did not see any speed signs telling me the speed limit. There may have been but it was not obvious. The road linear to the road i was on was previously 30 and when i went onto the road where i had recieved a ticket, i had to accelerate uphill, and then it changes to a down hill. When i was going downhill, i get ticketed for going 39 by a cop with a fixed (nonmoving) radar gun. I do not frequent the road, but i do admit that i was going 39mph, but i was unaware of the speed on the road because i do not drive there alot. Also the hill has a really wide 2 lane road. If i go to court ad present my case do you guys think i can fight my way out of it? I have some ideas of what i can use and say, illigal speedtrap, engineering speed survey of road..

And if i stil lose after i plead for leneancy, Is traffic schol still a option?

I'm 18-my first driving ticket

There Are loads of PS2 games and last gen games that I really want to play and buy, but they are literally not available anymore for sale anywere on the web or in any stores. I use bittorent to get them but all these interest groups speak out aginst it. Why is that? I would buy the games if it were available in seconds flat. I feel bad about pirating but Why does it have to be the only way to get these things? Torrents can be a great source to access on material compnies dont want to profit from anymore. Why dont game companies bring back some old games on newer formats, like having a service to download games that are no longer sold ? I why is there such a grave interest in keeeping these out of people's hands?

Do you think it's fair that when a white person and a person of another race (I'll say Japanese for an example) have a child, that the child would be considered Japanese (or Asian) rather than white or even half? Also what about with the Pocahontas Exception which says if someone's three quarters white, they're considered white? That doesn't sound right if a half-Japanese guy (who'd legally be considered Japanese and not white) had a child with a white girl and the child would be considered white. Why is it that half-white people aren't considered white? Do you think that's fair to the white parent and the child?

I'm researching this for one of my college courses. I want to know exactly what the patriot act does, in plain english, written in an unbiased manner. I've conducted numerous searchings, and everything I find is either about the pros and cons of the patriot act instead of an explanation of the patriot act itself, or is a very biased article either for or against the patriot act. For now, all I need to know is exactly what it does in plain english. I don't want the pros and cons, and I don't want any biased writing, and at the same time, I don't want it written in a manner that I can't understand.

So does anyone know where I can find and article on the web with a description of the Patriot Act in plain enlgish? Please don't answer my question by trying to explain the Patriot Act for me. Instead, give me a link or a website or something. My sources have to be documented (and can't be from wikipedia), so I'll need a non-wikipeida link as opposed to an explanation in your own words.

I live in Lucas County, Ohio. I was brought in for a hearing in 2003 for child support that I owed but I showed that the children had been living with me full time and that I was providing for 100% of their financial need. The "Motion to Show Cause" against me was dismissed by the Judge.

I have had physical/residential custody of my children for the past 11 years, however legal custody is in my mother's name. The CSEA continues to charge me with child support. All child support for the years my children weren't living with me has been paid.

What was the "Motion to Show Cause" charge and what did the Judge's dismissal mean if it didn't mean I shouldn't be charged for child support?

My friend lost her baby in the spring and ever since the guy who thinks he is the father (even though she warned him he might not be) has been causing her trouble at every turn. Recently she just had the headstone replaced because the name was wrong and he literally stole it off the grave because it did not contain his name as the father on it. After calls from the police he returned it to the funeral home but now they are refusing to place it on the little girls grave. They told my friend that she either had to come to a compromise with the supposed father or leave the grave unmarked. The guy is not on the birth certificate and did not pay for anything including the funeral or the headstone. Is the funeral allowed to do this? Their claim is that he had the memorial certificate with his name on it, but its not the state certified, and that they have the same last name?. Any advice?

My husband has full custody & the mother has visitation. We have talked to her about me adopting & that we would have something drawn up that she would still have visitaion rights the same as now but would not have to pay child support & all that. The more she gets her life together the more hesitant she is about it. She lives in another state, has not kept regular contact, does not pay health insurance(which she is suppost too), might see her child once a year, & has been in & out of rehab & she has not lived with her in a little over 3 yrs. I love her like she is my own. I'm here for her everyday. I do everything that a mother should do for their child for her & my biggest fear is that god forbid something happen to my husband & this woman takes her away from me just so she could get a check every month!! I mean lets be honest here I am the one raising her I feel like I should have some rights to her. She is family, she has a big sister & a little brother here..she is my baby girl

I have created a couple of tools that have increased my productivity at work..big time.
They need refinement, and the designs will change (maybe many times).
Others have seen what I have done, and they are all over my ideas.
I have had many ideas stolen in the past (a couple have done quite well).
How do I protect myself?
Can you patent something that will essentially be completely different in the future?
