I assume the more the money, the easier it is to get away with crimes. Where is actual proof of this? any basic laws about the strength of their money being able to help them so much?

Very often -- the way many individuals do -- by trying to curry favor with the celebrities.
Not always -- many judges treat celebrities no different than any other defendant -- but money always matters, if for no other reason than more money can by better legal representation -- the same as any other service.
