I am doing a report of changes inside America after 9/11 and while I discuss this, I am not sure of the complete effects it changes. I had always assumed that they shared information on a hierarchy. All lower groups could access data that was cleared for them, but there would be classified information for the higher ups. Does anyone know anything about this or can you provide links to find more information? I tried google but i havent found what i'm asking for here. Thanks.

My husband was eating a can of Campbell's chunky soup and half way through found a hair in his mouth. I know totally disgusting. It was a long white hair. I took a picture and kept the can and emailed Campbell's Soup Co. Anyone experience this and/or how did you handle? Thanks!

No one has long white hair in this house; my husband prepared the soup and is practically bald; with a black fade.

You've been drinking for the most part of the evening and now under the influence. At 2:00am you hear glass breaking outside your door only to find someone burglerizing your car in your driveway. You instinctively turn behind you to your table and grab your handgun. You yell at the burgler to stop what he's doing. He immediately exits the car with "something" in his hand that resembles a handgun Feeling on edge, you take him! The burglar was some teenager stealing the BB gun that belonged to your son which he left in the locked glove compartment.

I want to buy an embroidery machine and use it to make baby things to sell. There is a Disney one that includes Disney character images that you can use. They are already downloaded to the machine when you buy it.

My question is, if I use those characters on my items, is it legal to sell it? Or would it go against their copyright?

I would think that by buying the machine that I kind of buy the right to use those images. But I am not sure about this.

Any help is appreciated...thanks in advance!

On a technical level, is there a difference between racketeering and extortion? I see these terms used inter-changeably, but I just want to be sure ^_^.

I plan on moving into an apartment but my landlord is refusing to clean the carpets, claiming they were just cleaned six months ago. However, the previous occupants had two cats and I have a baby that will be crawling. Is there a law that states what a landlord is required to do before in between tenants? I am in New York State.

I was trying to consolidate my student loans, so I began by making phone calls to various companies trying to find what was best for me. Well a company I called talked me into filling out this form online telling me I had no obligation and it was just to see what my monthly payment would be based on which plan I chose. Well, I was conned into signing a letter they say legally binds me to their company. I called them and spoke to a supposed supervisor who said she was going to look into it. She also stated it I had no way of getting out of this contract without getting lawyers involved. I told her how surprised and concerned about how this company tricked me into signing with their company. I told her flat out to listen to the recording of the original gentleman I talked with conversation and to check his phone logs to see that he called me 4x a day for over a week until I filled out what he asked me to fill out or the 10 e-mails requesting I fill out this information so he could qoute me on a monthly payment. Low and behold, I have heard nothing back from this company and I have no intention on staying with them if at all possible. What can I do to A) get out of dealing with this company and B) is there any way for me to take them to court for anything?

I'm wondering specifically about using an alias to register at hotels, et cetera. I don't wish to use an assumed name for business or any illegal activity, just for personal anonymity. I imagine that it's not too difficult (following the stereotype of the CEO getting hotel rooms for call girls) but I'm not sure how to go about it, if it is legal, and how to avoid leaving a paper trail.

Again, this is not for anything illegal, just wondering whether it is legal itself.

He paid the car off for around 18k. I have been paying him 313.00 a month. He wanted to pay it off so that the interest rate would be lower and we were going to put my car on his insurance by putting the title in both names.

I just want to know if there are any laws regarding this? I want to know if there is anything you can do to stop a possible project, or slow it down that involves nudity. Not for an all-out battle on all things, just one project? Is there anyone viewing who has legal experience on this type of thing?

In my Sunday paper was an article: A Sam Adams is running for Mayor in Portland Oregon. Well, he's in trouble with the big Sam Adams Brewer over the use of the name and his signs and website advertising his candadicy. Sam Adams response (the mayoral candidate was, "What! I've been using my name since 1963. Before they were even in business."
All I can say on this is it's one of the most absurd legal disputes I have ever heard of. But with your answers, I sure would like to hear of others.
