In East Tennessee a group of undercover cops started staking out public parks in the area, known to be frequent meeting places for gay men. In a sting operation they waited for men to hit on them, before arresting them. They then publicly outed these men in the local newspaper, showing their photographs, full names, and complete home addresses.

24 hours after this public outing of men who are yet to be convicted, one of the men involved shot and killed himself.

I was wondering what people think of publishing the names, photos, and addresses of people who have not been convicted in a court of law.

The power of attorney is signed and notized by all parties before it was filed. Am I right in thinking that the power of attorney is a state law and not a county law. Also, it should be able to be used in any state of the United States.

my boss wants me to work at a left handed cutting station and I know that it is really bad on your body to work left-handed if you are right-handed, and vice versa,so I want to know if it is legal for him to make me work at a left handed station when i am right-handed.

I am considering a job with Huntington Learning Center.
As a condition of my employment, I have to submit to a criminal background check. I'm not opposed to that at all.

However, the HR person told me that I would have to pay for it, to which I replied "That's a business cost of Huntington Learning Center - It is not my responsibility".

What's the law on this? Any thoughts?

My fiance's company is letting a few people go because there is no work and the company may be going under. In the next few months, either the company will go bankrupt and close or they'll want to hire him back when they get more jobs (He's an electrician).

We're unsure if they are "officially" laying him off or if they are just putting him on "stand by" and telling him not to come to work for a few months. Regardless, can he collect unemployment benefits until he can find another job, even if it's temporary? If the company is flat out broke, who will pay for the benefits or will he not qualify on the grounds that there's no money to pay him?

I have heard of corporate censorship on yahoo, and more then likely they will delete this question, but before they do what are your thoughts on yahoo’s support of this tyrannical regime and implications of yahoo’s own corporate censorship?

There are huge double standards in our country. If we're going to put footbaths in our schools for Muslim students(minnesota) we should be able to put the Ten Commandments in front of our courthouses. Do you agree or disagree?

If TNA wrestling and brain busting match fights are example of humane intertainment, then there is something wrong with the human race. Why inprison someone for breeding and fighting a dog, when we condition and train human to fight and kill one another. Is it free choice or a point of view. Is it because we can help the dogs, but cannot help ourselves.
