okay, my b/f was in a wreck last friday...no one was injured, and everyone drove away from the scene, went to another location and talked it over. the accident occured because he was exiting a highway...while on exiting, he noticed that car B was trying not to hit car A, but car B hit car A. he couldnt move over to other side because its an exit ramp and other cars were coming up behind him, so he slammed on his brakes, hitting car B. keep in mind that car B hit car A. car B damaged her front, while my b/f (car C) damaged her trunk. car C's hood and bumper was smashed. how will the insurance determine who was at fault. it was his understanding that he would help to fix car B's trunk, and she agreed, but now they have called our insurance company and filed a claim. i think that car B should be responsible for her front damage and not rely on our insurance to pay for the entire damage. we didnt call our insurance company because we are paying for our own damage. any advice will help.thnx

I have a friend that is doing 90 days in county jail because he was charged with aggravated sexual assault on a child in Fort Bend County, Texas. Is there a way where I can get the case details... transcripts..etc? Will he have to register as a sex offender? He doesn't know that I know that is why i am asking here and not him. Thanks!

When my brother died last month in Oklahoma, I discovered he had written a will a year earlier leaving his estate to a neighbor who had been caring for him. I live in another state and was unaware of the will. I believe my brother was taken advantage of. Can I contest the will?

Here I am again, trying to get some answers. I think I need a new lawyer. He basically said there is nothing I can do. I was rear-ended by a motorcylist who was exceeding the speed limit by 3 times. His policy limits don't begin to reach how much my medical bills are. Is there anyone else I can get the money from? He passed at the scene by the way so I can't sue him of course. To my knowledge he had a fiance he named beneficary but I don't know what that included. Could I go after that? Or possible sue the insurance company? I "heard...here-say of course but if it were true" I heard this guy had a history of wrekcless driving, totaled a motorcyle before..could insurance company be held liable for more than the policy limits? It's just not fair that I was minding my own business & I am having to pay for all of this!! Do I have any options? Thanks.

If an 18-year-old has sex with a 17-year-old in California, it is a crime. In Georgia in 2005, a 17-year-old had oral sex with a 15-year-old and got a ten year prison sentence (http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/n/a/2007/06/11/national/a085409D11.DTL).

There is something horribly wrong here. Part of it is just plain sexism. But I think the law really needs to be changed to allow for similarity of ages. Like if they are 2 years apart or less, it is not a crime, or only a minor misdimeanor.

What do you think?

takes them for a day to somewhere like golf n stuff, or bowling, or speed way racing. my position as sales support there are 4 or us and since they cant track our work as goals like they do for the sales reps we all have decided to rotate it or take turns on who gets to go to the acheivers club since we all do an equal amount of work. well it was suppose be my turn last quarter but the manager made up some excuse that no support rep was going this time. he knew it was my turn and instead told the other support rep he can go. so for sure its my turn this quarter and i was already told i get to go. this time they are flying us to our oregon office to meet with the other reps for wine tasting. so in the last 2-1/2 wks i have missed about 4 days due to my son and having to take him to the dr. when i confirm my trip with the reps they now tell me i cant go due to attendance and i fight telling them i was suppose to go last qrtr then they tell me its not a good time because i have my son!!!

and should it be banned totally? Only allowed if you are going to die anyway? In constant pain with no end in sight? Any of above and physically unable to do it yourself? Allowed to anyone?

I admit I am not sure where I stand on this one. I would think it is the person's right to end their life....as for the doctor's end I dunno...seems like something that could be f'd up very easily..especially by the HMO bastids.

But I know if I was in constant pain with no positive improvement possible, unable to perform the deed myself (or just wishing my family be spared the gruesome scene of self-inflicted) I would want medical help to just end it all.

I am going against my father in court , because he tried to come after me with a knife 2-3 weeks ago , and physically tried to threaten me and intimidate me with it . so i ran outside crying calling the cops . They came and arrested him .
Now i have the proof with me that he was yelling and screaming at me in a high voice in my Voice Recorder ( i got it because that's how much of a scary situation i am in in my house rt now ).

i started rebelling against my father since i was 17 due to his immoral and violent ways that he treated me . I went through depression , panic attack , social anxiety and everything by the time i was 24. . Due to his nature of lying , and deceit , my mom and bro are also with him . They are all going to go against me in the court . They don't know that i have this recording
and right now my mom and dad went to see a lawyer because i told them i am going to pursue the charge against him .

but I am really worried if i will lose this case in court. Will I ?

My girlfriend's mother is elderly, disabled and in poor health. She is concerned that if she ever needs to go into a nursing home that her house will be taken to pay for it. She would like to place my girlfriend on the deed now in order to prevent that as she is already in the will to get the home. Will this help just adding her to the deed? This is something that is bothering her greatly and I would like to help them get this settled so she can relax.

I've been attempting to liquidate my mothers estate and have been having lawn sales of the smaller items that auctions don't want. A friend advised me to throw away any electric operated items, even if they work (like toasters, electric blankets, heating pads, etc.), and not sell them. I asked her why and she said something to the effect that if someone buys an item and it shorts out and burns down their house or gives them a shock (or worse), I could be held liable. Is this true?

I have a problem with an abusive utilities provider in my state (TN). About 2 motnhs ago I received a bill for about 400% mora than what I usually pay. My bill went from $25-$35 to almost $200. I called the company and they said they were going to be doing an investigation. Around the same time for some reason the replaced the counter at my property. After about 2 months the result of the investigation said that the bill was in fact mine and that I had to pay it. I had a plumber go over the plumbing system to check for leaks and he did not find anything wrong. I do not have a swimming pool, I do not own an irrigation system, I do not even wash my car at my house. I just call this morning and they basically told me that I needed to pay my bill regardless or they were going to cut it off. Since they are the only provider for my area, can they do whatever they want? What are my options? i do not want to pay for water I did not use. Do I have a ny legal options? Thanks!
