I have a friend who has served 15 years of a life sentence with no parole for a drug conviction. It was his first and only charge. Now days people get out of prison sooner for killing someone than for selling drugs. I am not saying he didn't deserve punishment, but I think his sentence is unfair and excessive. He was young and stupid then, thought he was untouchable... and now 15 years later, I think he's more than paid his debt to society.

Who do I write that can help him? Who can I write that would possibly take a look at his case? The attorney general, the governor? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Why does a bank robber get a longer sentence then a murderer, child molestor or rapist? Why does some one who is convicted of stautory rape some times gets the same or a longer sentence then some one did agrivated rape? Why cant the worst crimes get the longest sentence and every sentence could be the same range for the same crime and higher crimes get the highest penalty.
Im starting to get sick of the fact that diffrent states have diffrent laws and the federal goverment had diffrent laws.I read about federalist and anti federalist.Im now starting to agree with federalist idea. also depends on the judge and the jury.I wish there were sentences that highesst range that the judge can give fits the crime not to long or to short. It also has to do with the over crowding of the prisons whitch wastes tax payers money. Why cant we leave the longest sentence go to the worst of the worst because i dont want my taxes to go to low risk offenders serving a life sentence i rather it be put on the bad

Once you go to court with NC Child Support Enforcement, and a judge has decided on a dollar amount for support, can it be appealed or do you have to wait for 3 years for it to come up for review again?

Ok, here's the story...my father died earlier this year and his retirement account named my 88 year old grandfather as the beneficiary. Since the beginning he has promised me half of the money, and now since he got the check the total has come down to 85,000 (enough to pay off my house). Anyway, I got the check and deposited it in my bank and all of a sudden he wants the money back. It is already in my account and processed, what could he legally do to get the money back?

Assuming the faith healer did not tell the patient that praying for the patient has been proven to be detrimental.

They can sue doctors, why not faith healers? Faith healers claim they can heal the sick, but it's been proven they can't.

Here's a link to the story about how prayer is detrimental:

on a recent visit to Wales I had to pull over to ask directions, not realising that I had stopped on a bicycle lane with double yellow lines, I was only there a few seconds but as I pulled away I noticed a traffic warden walking down the road and as I passed him I noticed in my rear view mirror that he took out a note pad and started to jot something down,I can only assume that he wrote down my number,It has made me wonder if it is possible to have a fine sent through the post or do I have to be given a ticket on the spot

I was wondering if this is completely legal and I would not have to have any licences or anything else to do this.

A person has requsted that I collect money from a person that she has lent it to. To me, it seems simple, sending out requests and getting the money in the end. (The person would pay me a percentage).

Do I have legal right to do that?

An embarrassing audio tape was made of my f and her now ex-gf in the bathroom, now the police are trying to say she was selling her marijuana when she was actually just hitting on her and showing off, but the tape would have to be played and described in order to show this. The prosecutor has produced the tape and implies that her ex-gf who has a warrant out and is hard to find consented to the tape, but parties on the tape showed an unwillingness to “come out” in the past. She believes that her ex-gf was intimidated into making the tape, because she said she was, and because they both where friends before and after the tape was made. The relationship was ended because of the tape for my f’s safety, by her bf. This takes place in Idaho (of course) and my f does not access to a lawyer because of numerous conflicts of interests. They don’t have a case, but my f thinks the tape may be used to embarrass her during trial, what evidence should my f use in a motion to suppress the tape?

Recently I was walking out of my on campus apartment to meet some friends in their doorm room. As I left I saw some of my other friends hang out out side their apartment. I went over to say hi. no one had beer in their hand but a couple of them had backpacks on with it in them. i talked to them for about 10 min when undercover cops showed up and made all of us take a breathalizer. I blew a .00 because i had not been drinking but the cops felt the need to get the school involved and I got written up for drinking. My school is a dry campus and you get written up and fined even if you weren't drinking but you can apeal it with the school. this is what i plan to do because I wasn't even at the pary just the wrong place at the wrong time. Will they let me off the hook do you think.

Question Details:
How can you or can you start a union at a bank?

Bank of America has grown way too large, and the people who work there are treated so poorly. Hispanics, Black and White it doesn’t matter what race you are, you can stand outside of there corporate centers and ask the employees what they think and they’ll tell you a Union is needed desperately.

They had a hiring fair, and hired around 200 people from the hiring fair. Then before the 90 days was up, they let those 200 people go.

Bank of America needs a UNION, help?

They made a big effort to take away individual rights and liberties with the Patriot Act (do many Americans actually know what that thing is about? Apparently most of the politicians who voted for it didn't), so with so much gun crime how come they never do anything sensible, like take away people's right to bear firearms? I may be missing something here, help me out people.
