Question Details:
How can you or can you start a union at a bank?

Bank of America has grown way too large, and the people who work there are treated so poorly. Hispanics, Black and White it doesn’t matter what race you are, you can stand outside of there corporate centers and ask the employees what they think and they’ll tell you a Union is needed desperately.

They had a hiring fair, and hired around 200 people from the hiring fair. Then before the 90 days was up, they let those 200 people go.

Bank of America needs a UNION, help?

If your lazy and not american, dont answer this question. America was built on Unions, and Bank of America treats its Hispanics and Black employee's the worst and its not limited to them.

Ok, well this is the tip of something that might seem nitty-gritty, but isn't; rather, that the company(s) in most states have policies regarding unions, some include that they will not raise pay of those working in a union, others, that if workers go on strike, they will give them a 2 week notice, temp until said time. Fire former employees and hire new ones. Unless something like Harassment is being practiced or has been done to one or more employee, then you could have a lawsuit against that company. That's all I can tell you, Good Luck!
(Also, alot of people can be mean just because they want to, it may not be right, but thats how people are becomming today... Apathetic and greedy.)

Uh - if it's so bad quit and find another job.

The "89" day employee is NOT a new concept. GM has been doing that for years.....hire people work them for 89 days and then let them go. A few stellar employees may be made permanent, but most are not.

Welcome to reality - slavery is illegal and you are not chained to your desk to prevent leaving. An employer is not required to be nice -- but you can always find another job.

A union will not help in this situation. Most employees cannot join a union until the 90 day probationary period is up.

I really don't see the problem, this is a simple hiring short term temporary employees, all business do this from time to time.
Sometimes a business needs a few temporary employees to supplement it normal employees to accomplish short term goals.
Nothing but a routine business decision.
