A server that was hired a few weeks ago at my establishment was caught changing the amounts on the credit card tips by the management. Apparently he kept changing them on most of the tips and none of the customers affected had gotten their transcripts yet. My manager said they will prosecute this to the DA. Is this a felony or a misdemeanor and will he be able to work in the restaurant industry again if he lies about the incident to another employer?

me and my boyfriend were in a car accident a little over a month ago and 2 people died from it. as far as we know they say it was my boyfriends fault of the accident and he may be charged with criminally neglegent homicide but he can't be charged with anything until the toxicology report comes back which he isn't worried about that. people have been saying that the motorcycles were going way over the speed limit when we collided but then some people say that they were doing the speed limit what do you think will happen to my boyfriend? Also he is a minor.

Obviously not, she needs sperm from a man. Even those with a low intelligence quotient understand that a human is 50% mother and 50% father... EQUAL parts (wow, equal, check that out). So should a woman go to prison for aborting 50% of his child? Isn't that equal? What about a man's choice for her to abort? Why isn't that equal?

I know why, because it's not a matter of EQUALITY, it's a matter of ethics. (Ethics are not about fair or equality, they are about what is right and wrong.)

But I'd like to see 'why' you think it's equal or not equal or do you agree that it's not about 'fair' it's about "ethics".

It is alleged in a case that Jed negligently failed to yield the right of way as he drove a car into an intersection, with the result that Milly, a pedestrian, was injured. Citing the statement of an eye witness that he did, in fact, yield the right of way, Jed moves for an order of summary judgment. Milly, however, resists the motion. She asserts that the witness did not have a good view of the intersection. Will the motion be granted?

About a month after I moved to Cali, I got into a car accident and was written up for not having a valid Cali license. I really didn't know I even had to get one (I'm here to work for a year and then law school, but then I'm probably moving back to Ohio) Anyways, I have court date on the 15th of this month and now have a Cali driver's license. The officer mentioned that it wasn't a big deal at the time and that I just need to get one by the court date. Does this mean I can just show them that I have one now and not have the misdemeanor on my record? Do I have to plead at all? What would I plead? And how long shoudl I expect to be at court for?

Any information/suggestions would help. I will likely call the court tomorrow for more information. Thanks in advance.

Today's episode of Judge Brown had a girl suing her ex-boyfriend for $2k for slander he posted against her on MySpace.

If 'slander' is illegal, wouldn't the Bill of Rights be a fluke?

I live in Michigan, the company is in Virginia. I dont really want to go to Virginia to file a lawsuit because I would have travel expenses then. I talked to a buddy and he said you can file in your state and they will make the defendant come to Michigan. I stayed at travelodge and my computer was stolen and the owner wouldnt let me or the police see any of the security footage since the cop determined there was no forced entry into my room since my room was on the 3rd floor. He told me I lost my key so I asked him how did I get into my hotel room then? He's now calling me a liar and that I never stayed there in May and that I'm drunk. I'm 19 and wasnt drinking in front of the cops but I have the police report and everything else that says I was there in May

How do I get this guy served and make him come to michigan courts?

Thanks

I've been driving to miami near the east side of the airport. There are several major construction projects going on. And they breack the paviment, rerout traffic thru inapropriate venues. So my car brokedown... From cv joints all the way to control arm and even my tires got messed up. The questions is there any legal ground for me to get reimbrused for some of the expenses from the city or the construction companies involved in the projects...???

I had my first child in the hospital, and didn't know i wasnt fully covered by insurance. Ive got a big ole bill there right now(about $6000). I've got it set up on payments, but i really haven't kept up with them at all. I'd always planned on sending lump payments in with my taxes, but that hasn't really worked out.
I'm about to send in the agreed upon monthly payments, EVERY MONTH this time, in hopes that they will allow me to deliver the baby due next year at their hospital.
If i'm consistent from here on out with my payments, can they still refuse me when the time comes?
(by the way, I'm fully covered this time around)

I just got high-speed internet from Comcast and when they came over to install the cable modem, they also cut the ends off all the other cables in the house and pushed them down. This made me really angry, as I'd like to have the option to move my modem to different rooms in the house later on.

They said it's their policy to do this to prevent illegal cable access, but I don't even watch TV. Is it legal for them to cut the cable in my house.. don't the ones inside belong to me?

I am about to receive a restraining order, I don’t want to go to court. I don’t care if this girl gets one on me, I know I was wrong, nothing violent, but just emails and text since we broke up. What will happen if I don’t show up for court? I don’t care what she says about me, the judge is going to order the same RO either way. So why should I go to court I will just have a bad attitude? I don’t care if I ever see her again, and yes I lied to her and will get it either way, so what is the difference? This is not a criminal matter so what difference does it make? We have no kids, and live in the same state. I just want all of this to be over so why should I go to court?

I wanna ask your stance on organ donation after a death.

What do you think, should there be a card that you opt out of donor donation? Just now in the UK we have donor cards, meaning if we carry one we agree to our organs being used after our death to help someone who needs a transplant. But there is complications added here, because just carrying a card means nothing, your family can overturn your decision after death, so do you think there should be a new system where you opt out if you do not want your organs used after your death, so you would carry the card saying you do not wish to be a organ donor, so that means 1000's of people a year can have transplants they need unless a person opt's out, so let me know your thoughts

Can you answer yes or no, then if you like give an explination of your answer, but please include your sex and age if you could please. UK users only

But most of the time life with rear chance of moral.
Im talking about rape and murder cases.I agree they deserve being punished but my opinion first timeers deserve chances.I prefer them to get 20-30 years rather then life with out parole espicialy people who were peacful loving family guys who did one bad thing that are not dangerous to society. You are a good son, duaugher, husband,or wife you all of a sudenily killed some one in your family because you snaped or revenge and you have no criminal record thats your first offence why give them life without parole?

Can someone tell me please who I need to contact to report someone that is abusing welfare (ebt/foodstamp) benefits? This individual is still receiving benefits from the state of Missouri, and has been living and also receiving benefits from the state of Tennessee for about four months now at least. Who do I call or contact in order to end this. Have no issue with someone receiving benefits, if truely need them, but have issue with fraudulently obtaining them and abusing the system like this and when they have no desire to do anything to change their situation so not to need assistance anymore- only to continue to live off the system indefinitely. Thanks.
