Im talking about rape and murder cases.I agree they deserve being punished but my opinion first timeers deserve chances.I prefer them to get 20-30 years rather then life with out parole espicialy people who were peacful loving family guys who did one bad thing that are not dangerous to society.You are a good son,duaugher,husband,or wife you all of a sudenily killed some one in your family because you snaped or revenge and you have no criminal record thats your first offence why give them life without parole?

I know you are speaking of a specific case, however you did not give enough detail about the case to comment on that case.

That being said, a life sentence is the appreciate sentence for first degree murder. First degree murder means the killer not only killed the person, they planned to kill that person. It was not a "heat of the moment" thing.

Anyone that will plan to commit a murder is a threat to society. Even Ted Bundy seemed like a nice guy.

He's a good guy but he raped or murdered someone - so let's give him a chance?

Do you not see how the "good guy" argument goes out the window when you put rape and murder into the equation?

Sorry - rape and murder are not forgiveable second chance offenses in my book.
