If they love their daughter, I mean really love her, then I can't understand why they would care about her sexuality. Sure they might think its wrong, but those sort of people are supposed to love the sinner, hate the sin right?
For those parents to do that would be heinous. The daughter would feel as though her parents don't love her. And maybe they don't if they are so hung up on images and religion that they can't just love her for who she is.
Do they think if they threaten her with disowning she can change who she is? She'll spend her whole life feeling inadequate to her parents and guilty about something that isn't wrong.

I think that is so mean. That girl still loves her parents so much. This will serve nothing and will only divide the family and prevent them from being any good influence in her life at all. They should consider if they care about their daughter at all. She's not hurting them, she's just trying to live a life that makes her happy. Shame on them.

Does her sexual preferance make her any less of a daughter?
To me the answer is simple, she is still there child, dispite the way she lives her life, and the parents shoudl be there for her, even if they disagree with some of her choices.
Besides how could one be there to help guide her future choices if they don't allow her to be around?
Parenting is a lifelong job, it does not end when the child turns 18.

i do not believe that the parent should disown but my opinion will be of little value to the parent
i do not believe that the parent must agree with the choices kids will make
love though is unconditional in my opinion ..
you can't control the daughter .. you may want her to do things differently ... but they will make the choices they want to make
prayer is the only shot the parents have

If i was her father,i would be ashamed, but i will never disown her but love her as my loving daughter and tell her it is wrong to fall in love with a same sex,coz god made man and women to be together in marriage and be one.

that's their child..you don't disown your child just because they didn't turn out the way you want them too...they are individuals and honestly as a parent you love your child unconditionally...who cares if they're gay or have 4 arms you helped give birth to that human, raised her, watched her get her heartbroken, and every other major and minor bump in life...

Absolutely not! if anything its their fault! when children are born theres nothing to make them gay or stright they choose to live that way, and its their daughter! a true family will love that person no matter what! even if she murderd people her family should only hate that she did that not her! they need to either face the facts and except it or get bent!

No they shouldn't, and I'm a Conservative who's saying this.
If the person is gay, they have their right to be gay....
But being allowed to get MARRIED under the law its another question...
