It is a Halloween decoration.Apparently it contains lead and the box says it contains cancer causing lead. There is a caution on the box advising people to wash their hands after holding it.Do the manufacturers think kids will routinely wash their hands after holding it?WHY is this still being sold? Is it safer than the toys recalled from China? As an update there was a clarification of information regarding the toy recall from China.It appears Mattell has acknowledged the majority of the toys recalled due to design flaws not lead concerns (a very small amount were recalled due to lead paint concerns.)There was a lot of hype about the lead paint concern but next to nothing on the fact most of the recalls were due to safety concerns over design flaws (small parts posing choking hazzards,etc).Shouldn't the design flaws have been detected in the States before they hit the Chinese factories? Has anyone from Mattell addressed the safety of older toys that are still out there?

I have a friend who is 12 weeks pregnant. She went to the emergency room for a unrelated problem and THC was found in her system. Is it the doctors responsibility in the state of Florida to report this to Child Protective Services or Department of Children and Families?
If it was not reported how can it be proved without her agreeing to releasing her medical records?

The drugs laws of America where created in the very late 1800's and early 1900's as a way to discriminate against minorities and immigrants that used these drugs. Opium was used by Asian immigrants, and the white government did not want to be overrun by Asians in California, so they found a way to slow the influx by making Opium Illegal. The same for Mexican immigrants and Marijuana. The 14th Ammendment of the U.S. Constitution states "...No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law...". Shouldnt all the drug laws be repealed since they were illegal under the constitution in the first place. SERIOUS ANSWERS PLEASE!

They are threatening strikes against Chrysler and did go on strike against GM a while ago.

Meanwhile, American car companies are losing money and can't stay afloat.

I wonder, how many UAW strikes have been threatened at the Toyota, Honda, Suzuki, Hyundai plants in America? You know, the companies actually making money and selling cars?

Oh, they don't have unions? And their workers are happy? All working together? Why is that?

Unions were great when they pulled American workers up. Now, they just drag them down.

And then they cry when they get outsourced. Idiots.

The realtor who represents me also represents the builder with whom I was in contract to purchase a new home.

I got a bad offer from a potential buyer and turned it down.

If my realtor tells my builder the date of the offer, the amount and that I turned it down - do I have a case for a lawsuit against the realty company?

The builder's attorney sent me a certified letter stating all that info I listed above. He is trying to seek damages against me because we are now out of contract and he has no buyer.

when she turns 17. All the research I have done leads me to see that she CANNOT unless she goes before a judge for emanciaptaion (she has no grounds). The car she happily drives is in MY name and if she tries to leave anyways the car will not go with her. Anyone have any legal advice for me on how to keep her from making a huge mistake? I know if she moves out she will likely drop out of school also. This whole thing is over a 22 yr old she wants to date and isnt allowed to ( she is still 16) Help!

I'm currently trying to change attorneys, what are the procedures to change?
Meaning are there any motions to be filed, is there a time restriction on such things?
Why would the judge deny this change?

i have a know it all friend that says George Bush lifted the automatic weapons ban a few years ago in the interest of national security. he says that you can walk into a gun store and buy an automatic gun.

i thought automatic weapons were SERIOUSLY illegal.

This is my first speeder so I was told by folks to fight it so it won't go against my driving record. I was clocked at 103. Maybe I was, maybe not. But anyway, I don't know the first thing about any of this. What do I say and do. Or should I just cop to it. I really don't want to if it's going to make my insurance go up. No time for silly answers. Please! And also I'm here in California. Oh yeah and someone told me to bring up the radar....what about it? Help me so I don't got to jail in the morning. (kidding).

I have court this month I am going to be representing myself. I want to know what it is called or how do I ask for a continuance or a new judge based on bias? I have dealt with this judge in the past he does not like me. The 2x times before was not anything criminal something totally different. This time it is for a driving while under revocation. Which is a long story in itself.

Hello-
I live in FL so it may differ by state.
Does anyone know if I should contact my lawyer to request an extension on my community service or should I contact the court directly or should I go through my probation officer. I am supposed to have completed 100 hours by Dec 10th and I know I am not going to have it done so I am trying to get it extended.

Me, My Husband and his father run a family towing & automotive business. We are constantly going through drivers, we just recently lost a good employee, his reasoning was he didnt make enough money. We have offered him more numerous times, yet he turned them all down. Odd I thought. Anyhow, this employee is now filing claim after claim, stating we fired him. Which is not true, but that's just the 1st layer of the cake, he has gone above & beyond at trying to put us out of business. We tow for multiple police departments, and he has sent letters to them stating very untrue facts, about my husband & I stealing from the company, and my husbands dad trying to file fraudulant insurance claims. One of our drivers were involved in an accident last week, so he is claiming we went to the scene to take pictures to try and cover it up. Taking pictures of accidents is a standard policy. I am not sure if we can file a lawsuit on this guy for slander, or defamation of character.

I was just wondering what people thought about this. Do you agree with the current laws? Do you think we might change drinking laws to include service members? After that young cop recently shot those folks in Wisconsin , people were upset that he was hired as a deputy at age 19. Many felt that it was too much responsibility for such a young man. I fail to see the difference between a young deputy and a young soldier. What do you think?

I am a Plaintiff in a Suit. The Defdts. produced some fabricated documents which I was not even aware of until referred to in their WS. The issues are framed. I made an Application to frame Additional Issue as to whether said documents are genuine and valid. Defdts. opposed my Appln. and the Court rejected the Application. Now I have to go to the Bombay HC. Should I file A.O. or will it be faster to move W.P. Secondly, is WP maintainable against such an Order? Thanks.

If Americans are forced to hear official in the US use titles for foreign persons and give titles like "the honorable.." should any individual in the US have the right to such a title. Are titles an issue of freedom of speech? Why should our government deny any American claiming the title of Lord or King when it acknowledges these titles itself.

I prefer to be called Lord John Doe, thank you.

If that's true, US forces have killed far more people than Blackwater, technically haven't they commited a crime? and how come the Iraqi government isn't asking our troops to leave, or be turned over to face criminal charges? Just something to think about.

i will be filing a objection in family court after the judge sets child support. i was told to have my objections ready. my objections are that CSE did not use my insurance in the figure, and that he has submitted dummy tax returns. and the % should be raised because it is too low and i do not like the total amount.what do i need to know about filing an objection, and tips on how to catch the judges eye, in a good way of course.
p.s. my son has lived without any money from him for 10 years, i am just asking for expences to make the teen years easy on him and i, braces, clothing etc, i'm not out to destroy the bum. no replys from dishearted burnt men please. anyone with a legal back ground that has tips please inform mom here!

my aunt was given 3 months to live back in july. I called her yesterday and our phone conversations not what they use to be. I want to know and ask her so many questions is she scared, is she ok with this, has things been taken care of, how much pain is she in , i want her to know how much i love and will always love her. ect. I just came from seeing her since she is out of state, however i want to go back again. I just dont know if id be intruding on her family ect. She isn't blood related just one of those special people in your life you just want to claim them as yours.Her b-day is comng and they say she may not make it. should i send a gift and card ahead of time. When is it ok to ask for some of her belongings clothes and stuff.?
