I live in North Carolina, and I was wondering if anyone knew if I have to be going to a public school to get my license or if it was okay, as long as you are in some type of school?

where i live, school does matter when it comes to getting your license. my parents are also making it hard for me telling me that you can't so unless you are REALLY REALLY sure please, dont get my hopes up.

yes all you have to do is contact the schooling system that you are going through and tell them you need your transcript, the reason you need this is because it is a written statment that you are in school...if you dont take it with you then you cant get them they will tell you to come back when you do get it i also live in nc, you have to have a c average and this will also show that

I do not believe that school attendance is a prerequisite for obtaining a drivers license. You should be able to go directly to your local DMV and complete the necessary forms and take the necessary tests. Most states don't even ask if you're going to school, let alone where.

It doesn't matter what type of school you go to, you can still apply for a license.

It has nothing to do with school. You just have to complete the requirements to get your license.

If you are legally enrolled in a school, there should be no problem.

the only requirement I read is that you be 18 or over.

You can get your driver's licence as long as you pass tests.

it depends on the state you are in, because some states allow it and some don't. check your local laws and restrictions.
