Three people were transported by CareFlite to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth and three others were taken to Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital following a major accident Sunday night on Washington Street.

The accident occurred shortly before 10 p.m., when two motorcycles struck a car that apparently turned in front of them as it was attempting to make a left turn on to Dale Street, according to Sgt. Steven Watts with the Stephenville Police Department.
The car, a 1994 Geo Prism, was driven by a 16-year-old Dublin male, and had a 15-year-old female passenger from Stephenville, Watts said.

One of the motorcycles was driven by Appollo Long, 21, of Stephenville. Traveling with Long was Julie Ohnemus, a 17-year-old Tarleton State University freshman. Both were taken by CareFlite in serious condition.

A second motorcycle, driven by Timothy Cunningham, 29, of Stephenville, was traveling with Lora Wulfjen, 18, who is also a Tarleton freshman. Wulfgen was transported

If someone died, they will reconstruct the accident. By taking measurements and inspecting debris, officers can come up with reasonable estimates of speed. This does take time.

You didn't provide a lot of details, but if the motorcycles were going at an unreasonable speed, they could forfeit their right-of-way. The same applies to your boyfriend.

If your boyfriend is found solely at fault, he could be looking at vehicular homicide, which is a serious felony. Depending on your state and the prosecutor, he could be waived into adult court.

I can't say more without knowing more facts, but it is common for the police to not issue citations right away at fatal accidents, until all the informaiton is in and reviewed by the prosecutor.

It all depends on how the accident happened. Your friend should consider hiring an accident reconstruction expert. If the other vehicle was speeding, an expert will be able to show it.

Repeat after me "He needs a lawyer, he needs a lawyer, he needs a lawyer!" Yahoo Answers is a great place to get general answers to general questions. It is the WORST place to get specific legal advice. Go see a lawyer.
