If you haven't paid the landlord, this is an automatic judgement against you. The next step is you pay or the landlord starts eviction proceedings. There will be a second court date for the judge to order the eviction. There is normally about two weeks in between, but that's not set in stone. I doubt there will be any questions at your first court date except did you pay?

The best thing to do is make arrangements to pay your rent with your landlord.

Good luck!

You didn't say what kind of hearing it is going to be. This could vary because of the amount of money you might owe. It could go either way so I'd bring enough to pay the rent plus court costs.

first...you should be served papers....read them carefully...you may have to file an answer before your court date..if you don't then you may not be able to say anything
time to move out varies...most of the time on a rental its ten days
I have never heard of anyone going to jail for not paying rent in the USA...most of the time a judgement is set for the amount you have to pay....
