A registered sex offender moved next door to me.

Her crime - 1 count of possession of child porn transmitted by computer. SHE DOWNLOADED A PICTURE OF AN UNDERAGE PERSON. SHE IS A PERVERT AND A CHILD MOLESTER IN MY MIND. She may have not touched a child, but she is REGISTERED... so she must be bad.

I am scared for my children.

What should I do???

I just read a report that says that 7000 baby girls are aborted every day in India. This comes on the heels of a story I heard on the CBC that in Canada there are advertisements in east Indian papers in Vancouver and Toronto advertising ultrasound clinics which will tell the gender of a fetus immediately. An east Indian community advocate says that this information is being used to abort female fetuses and in fact there has been an unnatural ratio of female to male births in the lower mainland around Vanouver wich has a high "Indo-Canadian" population. http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2007/jul/07072309.html

So, I've got this psycho ex who has some pictures of me in, shall we say... compromising situations. These pictures were taken by myself and stored on my own personal computer with password protection. Unbeknownst to me said ex got access to the photos and now that we are not on kind terms has begun sending the photos to various people including my current partner, parents and possibly my employer. I need to know what laws pertain in this situation (Indiana) and what type of lawyer might possibly handle this type of situation? Or can I just contact local law enforcement and have them deal with it? Will they deal with it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. (and thanks in advance)

How high are the taxes in England? I heard they tax on like everything, even stuff that's not taxed in America. And what kind of laws do they have? Like is it different than America's laws, are they more strict, or more leanet, or about the same, what's the difference? Thanks.

Both non violent crimes, one already served time years ago and released and not even on probation any longer
The other on probation and paying restitution
They want to be married, Can they legally do this?
Both are law abiding people now and both work and pay taxes.

This means that if someone commits any kind of crime against a gay/lesbian person, they will not ONLY be charged for that crime, but also for hate crimes, similar to the way someone would be prosecuted if they committed a crime against someone of a certain ethnic background.

My gosh, they are jumping all over this whole Giuliani thing about him saying "he spent more time at ground zero than most of the workers". I understand that it is a presidential campaign but when are the liberal forerunners going to start building themselves up rather than breaking others down?

Giuliani is and will always be a New Yorker and if you have any intelligence you would know that the last thing Giuliani would do is take cracks and emergency responders. He is proud of how his city reacted and he believes (and I truly believe) that he deserves a lot of credit for the leadership he showed after the attacks.
The liberals need to keep their mouths shut on this topic as obviously there was no intent to defame any of the responders. The only reason they call him out on it is because they can get political gain off of someone elses mistake. This was taken way out of context.
What are your thoughts?

I am writing a statement about an employee who stole things. I would like to get this notorized but I want to remain anonymous because I don't want people to know that I reported it. Is it possible to get it notorized and if I just sent the letter with pictures of the stolen items to the director without notorization would she believe me?

1) Should the government tell a church what to do or say?
If you say that as long as the church follows the law of government, government should not dictate what the church says or teaches - then consider that slavery was once the law.

2) Should the church stand against what is wrong, going against the government? (the catholic church has taken much criticism about not speaking up agianst Hitler).

3) If something is true, is it wrong to say? (don't take the easy escape out with "who decides what is wrong" or "your wrong may not be my wrong" - we all know basic right & wrong i.e. murder, stealing etc).

Serious answers only please because I have seen a lot of people dancing around the issues on other questions today & I really want to hear what your view is. Thank you.
