My gosh, they are jumping all over this whole Giuliani thing about him saying "he spent more time at ground zero than most of the workers". I understand that it is a presidential campaign but when are the liberal forerunners going to start building themselves up rather than breaking others down?

Giuliani is and will always be a New Yorker and if you have any intelligence you would know that the last thing Giuliani would do is take cracks and emergency responders. He is proud of how his city reacted and he believes (and I truly believe) that he deserves a lot of credit for the leadership he showed after the attacks.
The liberals need to keep their mouths shut on this topic as obviously there was no intent to defame any of the responders. The only reason they call him out on it is because they can get political gain off of someone elses mistake. This was taken way out of context.
What are your thoughts?

It was the Democratic candidates -- some of them, at least -- who did that. Not the entire liberal movement.

In fact, none of the Democratic front-runners (except maybe Obama, maybe to a small degree) are even liberals at all. Most are socialists.

Politics is about attacking the other side. I watched the Republican debate a few weeks ago, and they spent over half their allotted time bashing Democrats rather than answering the questions. So, he's getting bashed back.

Welcome to politics. Stop blaming the spectators.

Do people like you ever get tired of following someone else? I'm not speaking of 'liberal' or 'conservative', I'm just talking about having an original thought. Do you know Giulliani personally? Or any of the other politicians that you support? My guess is that you simply base your loyalties on what you hear, not what you actually know.
As for 'jumping all over' the thing...it's not the media that 'jumped'. It was the fire department in his own city....they feel very let down that the ex-mayor of thier city compared himself to the men that were actually digging in the rubble and saving lives. I think this is a reasonable objection. It wouldn't stop me from voting for a qualified candidate, but Rudy needs to know when to stop stroking himself and let his record speak for itself.

In high politics, especially with presidential elections, there are no rules on debate, little ethics and rarely any constructive dialogs. The aim of both sides is equally to promote its own agenda as to crush the others, and that is by far not symptomatic to liberals only, although I've observed that they'd really jump on anything, as you correctly note here.

When you run for president, you must be careful of your words.

That go's for all partys.
