Someone I know was landed with a $5000 bill for medical treatment in the usa. They paid $1000 before leaving the country and they haven't paid the rest and they don't have the inclination to pay the rest. They are planning to go back to usa but i wondered what would happen once they set foot there. I don't want this person to get into trouble but I do want them to realise how serious this is. Can someone give me an reply?

Before I start I just want to say that I've always been a good father and provider for my son. My son mother took out child support because of her bitter feelings toward me leaving her alone because she was destroying me mentally. Now I been paying child support and child care that the court ordered. Recently I found out that my son hasnt been in daycare for the last 2 months and I've been paying these fees? Should I notify the court? What will happened if I do?

Say in the 1930's in America there was a family of a Mom, Dad, and daughter. Suddenly the couple (mother and father) go missing for a long time or die or something. Would the daugher inherit the land if she was a legal adult? I know women didn't have the same rights as men in he 30's.....

Doesnt anyone feel sorry for Robert Hanssen, the guy who caused the biggest breach in the cia in USA, for having 23 hours solitary confinement for the rest of his life, and one hour just public contact....

For just violation of the Espionage Act which he pled guilty to. For $1.4 million in U.S. secrets that, in the end, didn't do that much damage (or at least visible damage) he gets 23 hours solitary confinement. Doesnt anyone find that harsh. I find that worse than death...

or with guns outlawed for everyone?

( remember just making a law against guns does not make them majically dissapear, outlaws will continue to have them. If they are bold enough to rob and murder, why would owning an illegal gun be any matter to them. Only law abiding citizens will turn them in.)

My mom is being charged with embezelling $250,000 from a large insurance company. Her boss (an older, very wealthy man), used company credit cards to buy her outfits for company trips, bought her a pool and hot tub for her yearly bonus with the cards, and when the company found out, he said he had no idea about the charges. She has like, 30 something counts against her, alot of them she has actual receipts for legitamite purchases, but if she goes to court, each count could cost her 3-6 years each. She has receipts for about $20,000 of the purchases that she hadn't turned into her boss yet (for stuff like copy paper that they're charging her for!), and there are people thatsaw how her boss bought her gifts, but the risk of a high sentence is too scary to go to court, so she's signing a plea bargain. The plea is for 18 months. I'm 17, my brother and sister are 12 and 8- do you think the judge will sympathize and give her a lesser sentence? Shes a great mom and never even had a ticket.

My father inherited my grandfather's house and my brother offered to buy it at the market rate. My parents live in a house owned solely by my brother and he suggested that they swapped houses and he would make yp the difference as my grandfather's house is worth more than his. This was agreed to but 18 months later nothing has happened. When my parents challenge him he threatens to evict them from his house where they have lived for 8 yrs. Can this transfer take place? There is a mortgage of 90k on his house and the difference in prices is 60k. I know he hasn't the money to do the deal, but what can I do about it?

It seems if a man says he thought he had consent then nothing can be done, 4% cannot reflect the reality, and 96% of women cannnot be crying wolf and making it up. If a woman cannot resist intercourse becuase she is passed out and too drunk then why is this taken as consent? if she cannot resist then that is not the same as consent and there have been cases where the man has had his wicked way when she has been passed out but this has been taken as consent in court and he walks free. what can be done about this in your opinion? should women to extra careful or is a change of law to redefine "consent" necessary?
