Citizens of the US have the rights afforded to them by the constitution, others do not. Technically, illegal aliens have no rights, at all, except maybe the rights their parent country has given them (i.e. we couldn't just mass execute Mexican illegals and not expect Mexico to say something about it).
If the gays and lesbians are citizens, then they have rights. Why their rights are being denied (like marriage) is beyond me.

you have asked a question that has been asked by every generation. we are experiencing a large increase in legal and illegal immigration in this country. This is not new. Only the broad group "Mexicains" have changed.
As to comparing immigration and gay/lesbian rights, I think you are going the old apples and oranges way. Keep in mind that our constitution applies to anyone in the country. Not just citizens. So if you are visiting the US and are accused of a crime, you have the same rights as a citizen.
It is a good question and I like that there are people thinking about these issues. You keep pushing for what ever right you believe you need. As will the rest of us.

I thought you said you had a "good" question?
Why do people who come here illegally expect to have the same rights as citizens? They have the rights of the country in which they were born ... what if the U.S. adopted the same policies that Mexico has when it comes to dealing with illegals and non-citizens rights? I think that would be a great idea. There would be far fewer illegals here if that were the case.
If you want to rights of U.S. citizen, first you should try obeying our country's laws. It does not speak well for you if the first thing you do is become a criminal as a result of the means of your entry into this country.
Others (LAW abiding immigrants) are willing to follow the law, LEARN English, adopt the American way of life and eventually become U.S. citizens. They don't break into the country with no intent of learning the language, and abusing the medical and educational systems of the states where they reside without contributing towards the cost of those services, and then expecting everything to be given to them on a silver platter, all the while expecting all labels and forms to be printed in their native tongue.
Gays and Lesbians? They have the same rights as anyone else -- they are fighting for special privileges above and beyond what everyone else has. What they are struggling to change is the way society disapproves of their disease-ridden sexual preferences and perversions. They are struggling to come out of the closet with their lifestyle. In general, most people don't care what goes on between consenting adults behind closed doors. It's when it begins to be shoved down their throats that they push back. That's where your so-called "hate" comes in. Homosexuality has always been frowned upon by civilized societies. It is that disapproval that gays are fighting against.
And it's not the same thing as illegal immigration and the problems that produces. It's like comparing apples and oranges.

Check out the inscription on the Statue of Liberty. The French enabled the British colonists to break away from the British Empire to weaken that Empire, they gave you that statue and the principle of free immigration is enshrined in the Constitution by the ex-subjects of the Empire who also became/declared themselves to be citizens of a new country illegally.

you don't have to be a citizen to have rights in this country
... we believe all people were created equally
are you saying, you believe if someone is NOT a US citizen they shouldn't be entitled basic human rights? and your reasoning is because Gay's and lesbians are discriminated against and they are citizens?
uggh, your logic escapes me ... lets try to fight one battle at a time

People are free to hate, so the gays and lesbians can't do anything about that. They already are treated equally. Some are looking for special rights because of their sexuality. I think that if they would get out of our face with their lifestyle people would get out of their face too.
