I never cease to be amazed how many of them drive around without road tax...even more frightening I wonder do they have insurance for their cars.

How is this allowed to happen as if I were caught driving around without displaying my tax disc I would be in deep mire with the police?.

Im traveling down a highway and there is an exit ramp. The exit splits into two ways where u can turn left or right. The left turning lane gets blocked up so people usually ride down the shoulder so they can get into the right turn lane. So i dont turn into the shoulder b/c i thought it was illegal however i saw a state trooper pull out ride down the shoulder so he can get into the right turning lane no lights on not in pursuit of anyone well i go up the shoulder and he turnsright in front of me pulls me and 15 other people over for riding the shoulder. So i guess my question is is he allowed to break the law by riding the shoulder then merging back into traffic to pull other people over for doing the same thing? I have to go to court for this matter because the only reason i thought it was ok was because he did it and wasn't going anywhere to pursue anyone or anything and i thought the only time they didnt have to obey traffic laws was when they r in the pursuit of someone.

In a background check, can the company that does the check find out who you've worked for in the past if you don't tell them? I told them I had no work experience and that this is my first job, but I did work for like 2 weeks at another place, will they find out?

The company doing the check is WalMart, by the way. Please help.

Personally I have no objection about my organs being used after my death, but have never picked up a donor card.
The proposal would need provisions in the case of illegal death. To enable the police investigation.
Do you think people should opt out of becoming a organ donor, if they don't want their organs used after their death?

If a city that utilizes video to monitor traffic signals & issues citations by mail for running the red light has 15 days from the date of the violation to deliver the citation to the defendant, does "delivered" mean mailing same by the 15th day or actual delivery of the citation to the defendant by the 15th day?

I was watching a news story about how the government is spending all this money on different social programs to help out single women with children. One of my co-workers brought up this idea and I lilke it. Offer free birth to all women who want it starting at a particular date in time to all women/girls who have their menstral cycle. All women would be told about this and would have to sign something saying they turn it down if they choose not to recieve the birth control. Then anyone who gets pregnant after that (who didn't choose to recieve the birth control) won't be elgible for government aid because they had the chance to turn it down and the only ones who would be elgible would be the ones who were on birth control and got pregnant anyway. Of course this is all hypothetically speaking. Do you agree? Disagree? Do you think the government should give hard earned tax dollars to those who choose to have children knowing full well that they can't support those children?

For what was supposed to be like a month and 6 months later we had to kick him out, well he started telling lies about us and causing a lot of drama in my family because he was friendly with some of my relatives, and my husband called him and left a message telling him to leave our family alone and stop creating drama in the family and how dare he do this to us after we were so kind to him...Well, during the time he stayed here he did some odd jobs for us for an always agreed upon fee that we always paid him. Now he calls my husband back when he knew he would not be able to answer and left an aggressive message claiming he was going to put a lien on our house for $7,000 worth of unpaid labor. This is an outright lie. Can someone do this? We do not owe him a single penny in unpaid labor, and he knows it. He is also collecting some form of state aid. I think you cannot do that if you are working? I think it's disability for an accident he was in. I am actually afraid of this guy. WWYD?

Ok, I sold something on eBay, and a guy bought it with Buy It Now. However, right before he bought the item with Buy It Now I had sold the item to a friend. Now, he says we have a contract and he wants to buy the goods. He hasn't paid for the item, I told him not to pay. I told him I no longer have to goods to sell him. He says "I intend on keeping my contract, I will call you from my law office tomorrow". What can happen from this? Can anything happen from this? He can't really go to court over this right? He lives on the other side of the country.

My great aunt loaned a relative 10k - 20+ years ago. He promised to pay it back at a set interest rate, which is all documented. He made one payment over that time and sent
multiple letters with various reasons for not being able to pay. He has done this before with other relatives and has gotten away with it because of them passing away and now
out of a matter of principle my great aunt would like to do something about this, I was just wondering if this would be a valid case and how would we go about trying to recover the
money? My aunt lives in Minnesota and the borrowee lives in Iowa. Not sure if anything can be done, but I just don't think it is fair that she gets take advantage of so I am trying to help. Thank you for your time, if there are any questions or any more information is needed, please contact me. Thank you.

Why, if you support a smoking ban, do you want to keep smokers from lighting up period. Why isn't an air filtration / exhaust system good enough?

For those that want to ban smoking in bars - why don't you stop going to bars that allow smoking? If you can't stand the smoke - stop going there.

I guess I'm just PO'd that there are less and less places where I can smoke. All because people have some weird need to ban things they don't like.
