I hope to be a lawyer in the future and I want to see if I can sit in on a trial here in my area (Provo, Utah). Would it be better to go to a city court, a state court or a U.S. district court? How do I find out if a trial is public or not and is it alright to just walk in or how do I go about it?

In the old television show with George Reeves, Superman 'kidnapped' a man and woman because they were about to expose his secret identity.
He flew them into a cave high in the mountains until he could decide a permanent solution.
They had food and water, but no means of escape to climb down the mountain.
They attempted it anyway, falling down the mountain and getting killed.
If not murder, he sure seems guilty of costing those two their lives whatever it's called.

If a PETA member sees someone wearing what they think might be a genuine fur coat, and that PETA member spray paints all over said coat, legally that PETA member can be charged with assault. Is that right? Or does that PETA member have the right to express their beliefs???

Does one supercede the other???

Gary McKinnon was arrested in 2002 following charges by U.S. prosecutors that he illegally accessed 97 government computers -- including Pentagon, U.S. army, navy and NASA systems --I do not believe he caused "damage" any "damage" was the cost of re fireproofing the American computers which should have been done in the first place. He did them a favour and other countries like China and Korea probably used similar hacking procedures and will secretly have done the same thing. No this is revenge in “ jail em all” America for their embarrassment about weak computer defence.

I was arrested in my home town, a retail store said that i had stolen an item, I went to court and the case was dismissed due to a lack of evidence.
I just applied for a job and was told that a comsumer report stated that i stole a Item from a retail store and that they could not hire me due to this.
my question is is this defimation, and how much should i sue for.
also when i was accused of stealing this item i was also terminated from my job due to the fact that i had stolen a cd from one of my stores.
should i sue for anything else other then defimation, like wrong full arrest or since their aligations caused me to lose my job

thank you for your help

i have been reading in my local paper about a portuguese child snatcher who flew over 50 children out of Faro airport in 8 months.children as young as 5 were
abducted and sold into prostitution and slavery. some of these children may be in the uk, sold onto wealthy abusers. pedro miguel da costa damba was jailed for 6 years in 2002 for the string of abductions, but was released early for good behavior. this dangerous, vile thing is now obviously out theresomewhere and i doubt very much he has been rehabilitated. he was only caught when an immigration officer noticedhe was flying his second "family" to Egland in a week. surely in cases like this there is no other option but to put these things down. life imprisonment is an option, but as a tax payer i am not happy paying for these individuals to live a life of luxury.

I was wronfully terminated from a HUGE retailer and got an attorney after the lies they told at the unemployment hearing. She sent an intent to sue letter and their response is they acknowledge the sexual harassment but not the discriminatory hiring practices. (I have witnesses) The GM of the store told me to "Stop hiring college kids and single mothers". Then there was also an issue with an applicant out on workers comp. I gave my notice on a Friday and was termed on Monday for being insubordinant to her hiring practices? I only worked there 1.5 years and received 5 pay increases and an excellent review in that time. So there is no history on my part. The company has been in contact with mine. no chance of reinstating me, they acknowledge the sexual harassment but the GM is still telling lies to cover her you know what about the hiring practices. They want to discuss a severance. I didn't know this was an option, I still want to file with the EEOC. Please advise.
