My local place of workship has abandoned their existing bylaws and practices their own ways. We are in the State of Missouri. Should I contact the secretary of State office or the IRS? For example, the place allows any walk-ins or group of people to vote for the board of directors, instead of its members. There are a lot of practices that violated the original charter. The bylaws specify that we should have the members and applications. In the current practice, there is no membership information. I do appreciate all comments. Thank you.

Our 4-H group is being told that we can do NOTHING religious in our group because we are under the auspices of the UofI and then higher up the USDA. Anyway, this is probably a pointless question since it isn't going to help my group, but I was wondering if the U of I has a chaplain. I couldn't find it anywhere online, but maybe I was using the wrong search. Thank you!

I've got a neighbor who complained on us for something. After that, we fixed the problem. Now, he has brought up a whole bunch of things to complain about. We feel like he's harrassing us. He stares by his door and watches us. We feel like we're criminals or something. The animosity is a result of a bad real estate deal in which the neighbors think it's our fault. We just didn't want to sell for their price, and suddenly, we're the bad guys.

This neighbor wants us to look bad to the city and has petitioned the other neighbors to go along with him.

We feel like we can't live on our property anymore. Maybe we aren't being harrassed, but it sure feels that way.

This is an elected office and members that have not attend meetings or ran vary few to not at all on the Amb, feel they have the right to run for said office. We have an amendment in place waiting for approval. I would like some supporting evidence. All that is required now is 21 years of age and an EMT-B. The amendment reads the indivigual must attened 60% of schudualded meetings and attempt to respond to 40% af all calls. In Addition to being 21 and an EMT. To be eligiable to run for chief officer

if it were also made clear that there would be no exception in the law for it with respect to work requirements for unemployment, welfare and student grant programs?

After all, legal work is legal work.

Is this the "libertarian" position? Allow people to do what they want, but minimize the amount of money the government collects in taxes also?

And should it also be considered in deciding the "employment prospects" of spouses for alimony purposes?

So, do you favor these proposals? Why or why not?

Don't assume you know my views. I'm interested in yours! Thanks.

PS I have been getting many really, really good answers to my questions lately. Thanks to all who take the time.

I had bounced 2 rent checks back in January totaling about $1200. These checks were actually for my girlfriends rent so I am not bound to a lease and I do not live on the property.

Since then I received letters from a lawyer demanding payment which I cannot afford now, now I received a letter from a police department worthless check division.

Am I facing possible jail time if I cannot pay for these checks? The check from the police just demanded payment within 5 business days.

The apartment was leased in her name only and cosigned by her parents. The only thing my name ended up on is the electric bill as a secondary name b/c I live there. She has threatened me before that if I left she would sue me and make me pay half of the bills even if I wasn't there. Is that possible? The deal was she wanted to move out of her parents house and I could move in with her if I were to help out as much as I could which I have done. I don't make enough to pay much on the rent but I help out by doing alot of other things.

Hi

My mother is terminally ill, and her memory is better some days than others.

She does not wish her husband (our step-father) to inherit her money. Therefore she needs to get a will sorted.

I take it that as her memory is poor a home will is probably now out of the question - am I right?

Also, with such a poor memory if she wrote a will with a solicitor, would this stand without being contested by her husband?

Any advice would be great!

MP's have decided to vote that their expenses etc should be outside of the freedom of information act. This is presumably so that they can put down expenses for their callgirls, nights out, jollies to various places and so forth cannot be seen by the public.

our accountant is struggling to give me a direct yes/no answer to my question whether I am or am not entitled to receive my (unused) holiday pay (I have worked for the company for 5 months and have not used my holiday). Accountant said he has to check laws on this one! gosh! I am sure this is not the 1st case of employment termination in the history of company, so does this mean none ever asked them the right questions?? I dont want to be fooled. it`s not the matter of money, it`s the matter of the company being unfair! wat do i do? what legislation acts i can quote to make them reconsider their policy???

My girlfriend and I got a little physical during an argument and the police was called out. My girlfriend and I were both arrested and charged w/misdemeanor domestic/assault and battery to a family member because we both assaulted one another. This is uncommon because usually in most cases only one person is arrested in a domestic situation which would be the perpetrator. The police said that we are both victims and both defendants. My GF & I have not been in trouble with the law, we laughed it off and made up after we bonded out on an unsecured/recoginance bond later that day. My Girlfriend and I want the get the charges dropped because we are going to counseling & we have made up. I called the District Attorneys office and told them we want to resolve this matter and drop the charges against each other. They said it’s a strong possibility but we needed to talk city prosecutor What are the chances of having to go to us jail time cause of a family fight? We have never been in trouble
